Hey Gwendolyn, your survey went out a couple of months ago and the URL for it was shared in most of the updates since then. https://bolt-part-2-yo-yo.backerkit.com/ I think I sent a reminder email too when I noticed you hadn't filled the survey out. Those emails all would have come from firstname.lastname@example.org to the email you provided to Kickstarter.
Doc Pop - I backed this campaign, but never got a survey - looks like you closed them already. How do I get my Yo-Yo?
Thanks. I haven't been able to do it properly the first few tries, but I can tell it will eventually work. I had no idea about binding!
Hey Jim, I think this video will help you out https://www.youtube.com/watch…
Bol2s are "non-responsive" yo-yos, which means you'll need to learn to bind to get them back up. There's a small learning curve when learning to bind a non-responsive yo-yo, but it makes all the other yo-yo tricks way easier to learn afterwards.
My Bolt2 just arrived. So I got out my 1957 Playground Champion trophy (no kidding) to show the grandkids what I could do. And the yo-yo spun and spun and spun... but never responded to my gentle, then serious, tugs. HELP! I feel like a dolt with my Bolt.
Thanks Doc, I did just that.
Great question, Brad. I sent the surveys out yesterday morning, but only received the production photo today. So that's the main reason I used the renders. I also don't have individual pics of each color handy and don't expect any more photos until after Ching Ming is finished.
That being said, you can go in and change your color selections if you see something in the shop photo that you'd prefer. There's no additional fees to switch yo-yos.
You probably should have had this photo in the survey, any reason you went with rendered photos. The rendered ones dont show the true colors very well.
By the way, if you have any photos from the factory that you could post that'd be great.
I agree with Jared, full black is a bit bland. Gold plate on a black body will be very classy looking.
Got the survey today. The designs were great, and the Black addition was a good touch. It looked a little bland for my taste though. Instead of a solid color, adding silver or gold colored plate would have been a nice touch. Anything would have worked really. Black goes with everything. I went with the Blue in the end, and added a pin for good measure. Now the wait begins...
Hey Chris, no need to be worried. The yo-yos are still in production. They started a few weeks ago.
Still no survey, should I be concerned?
I haven't got a survey though.
Hey Jared, Kickstarter takes 14 days after the campaign to process pledges. Once that's done, I'll send the surveys out. So it looks like surveys will go out March 5th.
So, when are the surveys going out, or did I miss it?
Hey Jensen, the thinner bearing is available on a few different webstores, like this "half spec" bearing on YYE https://shop.yoyoexpert.com/collections/yo-yo-bearings/products/yyf-yoyo-bearing…
Hello. I was wondering if the bolt 2 with the responsive bearing would be available in stores once released. I made the pledge and tried to save enough on time but unfortunately cannot afford to get it at the moment (broke college kid with expensive diabetic medications). My meds needed to be refilled much earlier than anticipated. Thanks.
Awesome. It would be nice to add a stretch goal though. The Executive added a fancy case at $10,000. Considering this is a bit larger, a holster or pouch would be nice.
A denim yoyo pouch would be nice ;-)
Any other SF area folks want to pitch in and get that $500 lesson level prize? (my handle @gmail)
Backer 69! Hello there slick-toes!
Darn it Josh, I thought I had a crystal clear call to action.
I watched the video but I'm unsure of one thing, do I need to buy it?
