Digital files and update on the books
Hello everyone, my apologies for the delay and lack of communication. Many of you had reached out about the project status and I kept putting off a reply because I thought I'd have a big update in just a few days. That's not a good way to communicate with y'all and I'm sorry about that. The project is behind schedule, but I've still been working on it and I'm happy to have your digital rewards online today and the print copies coming soon.
Here are the digital downloads for you to download and print at home. The best result would be to download the complete pdf collection (here) and print it on standard 8.5"X11" paper, then follow the directions on the "How To Make A Mini Comic" to get start cutting and folding your own.
The complete PDF (all 8 comics in one file)
How to Make Mini Comics (on my site)
Individual PDFs (a zip file with each comic in it's own file)
Physical Editions update:
The biggest reason this project got thrown off schedule was because I decided to do two color prints instead of just one color. The end result just looks so good that I had to do it. The problem was that separating the current art and creating two color spreads for each comic took way longer than I had expected. Two colors would have been much easier if I knew I was doing it when I created the project, but I believe the end result will look awesome. I feel bad it ended up knocking the project so out of whack.
The files have been sent to Perfectly Acceptable press and I'm hoping they'll be shipped within a month. I'll then need a few weeks to cut and fold the issues. So my current estimated is July 1st, but I hope these will be finished much sooner.
I hope to record a tutorial video on how to cut and fold the comics. I still think How To Make A Mini Comic is a great tutorial, but I know that many people learn better from video. That tutorial probably won't be finished until June.
These comics aren't intended to be read online, I really feel that cutting and folding them is part of the experience, but if many of y'all feel strongly about them being readable online, let me know and I'll see if I can create screen-ready versions.
Thanks for all of your patience and support with this project. I can't wait to show you the two color results.
