Dear Dobot Team,

please give us an update as mass production start is supposed to be in july.
There is a dobot distributor in germany. According to his webside, 1st delivery is expected in july and second delivery in october. Can you confirm this? (I suppose all Kickstarters will be in first group.)
Furthermore according to data from the website the Z-axis speed will be 1000mm/s (Kickstarter 800mm/s). That would be good news.

Thank you for the update. Please keep us more in the loop, there Is too long of a gap in the updates. Why are you switching from Cortex M4, to A9? That sounds like it will cause another delay. What benefits can users expect to see from added processing?

First off I would like to say thank you for the update, secondly with the integration of the 4th axis I assume this means that you will be re designing the end of arm tool interface my question is will this interface support the possibility of using an automatic tool changer.

The Creator may confirm or deny the following information when they finished their New Years party. But as far as I know:

1) They will ship a 500mW laser. It is written somewhere in an update

2) Well that depends on your electronics and programming skills. I am also planning to do some kind of machine vision on my own, but I have some basic skills in machine vision and image recognition algorithms. But if you are motivated, you can surely learn it by yourself! There exist already functions that you can implement in python, Matlab, C++ or whatever you want to use. However if you want to have something that works for sure I would go with the solution provided by Dobot.

3) You should definitely be able to add a vacuum pump. Since there should be unused digital I/O pins, you should be able to add it by yourself.

4) & 5) will hopefully be answered by the Creator

Backers, does anyone know:
1) power the the laser? Not sure how thick of acrylic it can cut.
2) can I make the "visual kit" myself with some USB-webcam and LED lights
3) can I make the suction cup myself with a on/off switch with a small vacuum?
4) any documentation on the 4th axis?
5) any documentation on the rail?

Does anyone from support reply to these messages at all?

I have sent three messages on kickstarter and also 3 to different emails on their website. Today I have contacted someone over the phone and I've been told that they do have holidays until 5th February.

At the same time I keep receiving messages from kickstarter saying that I have to provide shipping details (final reminders) ,but what if I have questions on pricing for the country that is not listed. I understand that it is a Chinese New Year, but come on guys you cannot celebrate and dealing with shipping at the same time and not answer to customers emails at all. Sending all these final reminders ,however no one will process anything until 5th February

I would like to find out what would be the price of shipping for Dobot M1 + soldering kit to Kiev,Ukraine (as this country is not in your list of DHL areas)? If anyone know that would be helpful. thank you in advance

Congrats on hitting your goals and I am sure many are looking forward to seeing this machine being used for a whole range of tasks.
As others have stated, more info on tool heads needed please.
Also what is the situation with the stretch goals. The way I read the situation in your update "now everyone gets a full set of suction cup series!" that everyone gets a full set of suction cups included. So no need to select suction cups as a tool head? Should automatically come with the machine?
With the Magnetic tool head with the $500K stretch goal, can we have more details to chose this as an option?

Can you please provide more info by way of a spec sheet or showcase of all toolheads so we can make a better informed decision on them.

@Creator: Congratulations! I am very excited about this project! I have a question. You said that you continue on improving the robot arm. Will there be any improvement regarding the cables that are attached to the tool heads? Untill now, the cables (e.g. the cables of the laser head) are just somehow wrapped around the robot arm which is not really a clean solutions. Will you provide any cable attachement ?
