Hello to all fans of tabletop games! My name is Alexander Rybalkin, I'm over 10 years engaged in graphic design and 3D-modeling. I dedicate my entire spare time to video games. We are currently developing several interesting projects with my fellow enthusiasts. I have accumulated a lot of interesting graphic material for more than a year of work. On the basis of this material I came up with a board game and would like to introduce you to the art style and interesting characters.
The Hero is a book-collector. He has inherited a big library from his father which was a house to many rare books and manuscripts. Once he was going through the manuscripts and he found notes from his father’s friend who was a professor of linguistics and an expert in cryptography. The notes refer to the Amaranth Book and represent the original Voynich manuscript. Voynich manuscript is the ancient manuscript written in an unknown language. Decoding of the Voynich manuscript could lead to the storage of the original Amaranth Book. It argues that there is a portal that opens in several places of our world every year, and the portal leads to the Amaranth Book.
The game will help to come to finish and unravel a mystery. Beforehand, being on the crossroads, you will have to learn how to move between universes, meeting on the way new worlds, new characters, and using all your imagination, logic and mischievous pranks!
Core of the game: come first to finish individually or as a part of a team, winding up your brain, imagination and good mood.
Purpose of placing the project on kickstarter.com: to know players' opinions about the visual style and to introduce players with the characters, story and the world of the game.
Players throw the dice alternatively and move their characters back and forth to the number of steps equal to a figure on the dice. If a player hits red numbers, he makes a few steps forward following the arrow. If a player hits orange numbers, he goes a few steps back following the arrow.
Players throw the dice alternatively and move their characters back and forth to the number of steps equal to a figure on the dice. When a player hits red numbers, he must propose a word and explain it with actions only in order to move to the next stage in a speed motion. In order to get that done all players are divided into two teams. Team of a player, who is on a red figure, proposes a word, and the second team must guess right what the word is. If second team guesses the word right, the player on a red number moves to the next step with acceleration. If second team guesses wrong, the player remains on a red number. If a player hits orange numbers or intermediate steps, in order to avoid returning to the previous steps following the arrow, he should guess right as in the previous case, without oral communication. If a player is not able to explain proposed word, he goes back following the arrow.
Instructions are similar to the Game B + player has a chance to share points with his ream members to reach maximum effective strategy. Players are divided into 2 teams 2-3 players each. The first player of the first team throws the dice and makes a move on a certain number of steps; at the same time a player does not have to use all the points, as he can leave his points to other members of his team (for example, getting 3 points on a dice player of the first team may move a character 2 steps forward and leave 1 point to any player of his team). Thus points must be spent during one turn of all team members, points are prohibited to transfer to the next turn. Team whose players gather first at finish wins the game.
