Seventh Update

I hope everyone had a great holiday! I wanted to post some updates for everyone since the project is almost halfway to the funding date.

I'm now working on making a functional prototype for the smaller cylinder ferro. I've been working on tweaking the design and getting the milling paths worked out for CNCing. I'll make sure to take some pictures of the process!

As well, I've been speaking with mechanical and chemical engineers about finalizing the design. We're currently working on finding a coating to prevent shattering and resist scratching. One material we're looking at is called Makrolon, it's some pretty insane stuff.

I've been playing around with Keyshot's animation tools and just dug up this quick turntable that I had made of the project. Figured I'd share it with you guys even though it's pretty short. Let me know if anyone thinks anything fun I can do with it for an extra reward!

Also expect some desktop backgrounds soon. Let me know what resolution you guys run at so I can get an idea of what sizes to render.

Can't wait to see more! Makrolon looks like a pretty remarkable material. I wonder what the surface of it looked like post-ax!
