The Bible tells us that Jesus' life stands at the center of a larger-than-life battle between the ultimate sources of good and evil. But then where is Jesus' epic film, or series or comic book?
Enter Jesus Jumpkick.
Jesus Jumpkick is a comic book series and anime-style epic-retelling of the Jesus story with angelic battles.
By visually including the spirit realm where Jesus and his angels wage war against “the Fallen” as another "half" of the story, "Jesus Jumpkick" does something that historically has never been done before:
Retell the Jesus story with epic-action included in a way that's still consistent with the biblical life of Christ.
That's the basic vision behind Jesus Jumpkick.
(By the way, it's both the anime-style visuals and the inclusion of action that put the "Jumpkick" in "Jesus Jumpkick.")
The 1st issue of Jesus Jumpkick has already been completed!
And not merely completed, but brilliantly brought to life with fantastic page-artwork by Marvel illustrator, Ario Anindito and his team at Stonefruit Studio and stunning cover-artwork by popular digital illustrator, Genzoman, well known for his work with large video game company Blizzard and his prolific DeviantArt portfolio.
The purpose of this campaign is to help fund just one final step in launching the Jesus Jumpkick comic book series: a professional quality & industry standard printing of the premiere comic! This involves placing a required minimum bulk order of comics with a large print company that is known for producing such a high quality end result (our printer of choice: Print Ninja). This Kickstarter campaign is intended to help fund that minimum bulk order.
If you believe that Jesus and the biblical Jesus story deserve a modern epic treatment, and the renewed cultural attention and relevance it can help bring it in our epic-story obsessed culture, then please back, support and share this ground breaking project today!

Heads up! "Jesus Jumpkick" isn't just about angels battling but intentionally keeps Jesus at the center of the action, where the hero belongs! And in both physical and spiritual realms alike...
...but yes, angel battle action there is!
"Jesus Jumpkick" also makes the most of dramatic storytelling opportunities to emphasize the connection between what is happening in the physical and spiritual realms...
And there's a whole lot more to discover - and no lack of meaningfully hidden scriptural references or "Easter Eggs" scattered throughout - in the premiere issue of Jesus Jumpkick!
With your help and partnership, this is only the beginning for the series!

Risks and challenges
One of the main challenges I faced with this project is that of being a first time comic book creator and having a lot to learn along the way. The good news is that this comic book's primary artwork and lettering have already been completed and even printed successfully (on a smaller scale) previously.
This Kickstarter campaign is about bulk printing a more professional quality and somewhat expanded version of this already completed premiere comic in the "Jesus Jumpkick" series that I'm launching with this issue.
A still relevant practical challenge will be getting everything done to finish expanding and ordering this new higher quality version of the comic around working a full-time job.
But I'm confident I can handle this as I've already done so to get things up to this point, completing & printing the initial version of the comic. And I've kept my experience in mind and used it to inform the time table I've set for this project's delivery to backers.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
