Snooze has been called "Favorite Kickstarter Project" by BiteMyApple, and recently named among the Top Gadgets of the Week at TechGoesStrong! Our favorite write-up has to be the one over at DVICE, the tech blog of the Syfy Network (how cool is that?!). We were stoked to see Snooze featured on two of our favorites, Notcot and Grassroots Modern. Here are some other glowing reviews from Mashable, FAB, Direkt Concept and Cool Material:

Snooze is available in either solid Maple or Aluminum. The Aluminum Snooze is machined here in the US out of solid aluminum that is then bead-blasted and anodized to achieve a finish like the Apple MacBook. Thanks to the sleek design and attractive Snooze app clock display, it's actually a sensible dock solution for places other than your bedside. We envision it looking oh, so fine (and a bit cheeky) on your desk right next to your iMac...
The range of wood options now includes:
- Satin Lacquer Finish we call "Natural"
- Dark Ebonized Finish we call "Midnight"
- Soft White Finish we call "Daylight"
For Snooze Natural and the Aluminum Snooze, you can now choose from Pillow White or Shut-Eye Black for the top rubber snooze bar.
Solving a Universal Problem
We were tired of fumbling for our iPhone alarm in the morning, so we created Snooze – the bedside stand with a big snooze bar. It creates a home for your iPhone and cable, so no more knocking your iPhone off of the nightstand or turning your alarm off by accident. Snooze lets you easily quiet your alarm or incoming phone calls. Some call snoozing your alarm lazy, but we like to think of it as keeping the dream alive...
We've all dealt with the problem – the iPhone alarm goes off, your brain is full of fog and your glasses are somewhere not on your face… you poke blindly at the screen hoping to tap the tiny "snooze" button, you knock your iPhone onto the floor, or heaven forbid you swipe the lock and deactivate the alarm altogether. Before we had iPhones, mindlessly slapping an alarm clock always seemed to do the trick. That's it – adding a giant snooze button to the iPhone is answer!
Turning an Idea into a Product
We started developing Snooze by researching existing bedside solutions. There are some great docks out there, but nothing with the functionality and style we envisioned. We went to the drawing board with these criteria:
• It should easily silence your iPhone alarm
• It should be an attractive bedside home for your iPhone 4/4S
• You should be able to use your iPhone while it's charging
• It should work with or without the Apple Bumper Case
We all brainstormed, and Adam and Nate sketched up a bunch of concepts. Then Adam cranked out CAD models. What worked best was a flexible top with a rigid insert (see impromptu steak-knife hack, above). This transfers the force to the iPhone volume buttons, so it works mechanically - without the need for complicated electronics! This means any alarm app that uses the volume buttons to snooze will work, but of course we're developing a free app that will work seamlessly with Snooze. It'll feature a dimmable clock-face display, plus the ability to change the length of your snooze time.
Snooze has a pass-through hole in the back to hold your iPhone cable there where you need it. You can use your own cable or add Weave, the extra long fabric-covered cable we designed to go with the Snooze.
COMPATIBILITY: The current Snooze is custom made to fit iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S. It is designed especially for those of you who don't use a case, or those of you who use the Apple Bumper case.
Turning a Dream into Reality
Our latest prototypes look great and work really well. We've been talking with lots of factories to get Snooze to a level we're proud of. In fact, we've made it a priority to use US manufacturers for the maple and the aluminum. This is of course more expensive, but we think it's well worth it.
It's going to take $50,000 to bring this dream machine to reality – this covers mold-making/tooling, shipping, packaging and manufacturing in the larger quantities that'll make Snooze more affordable for everyone. (Check our FAQ below for more details). This is why we're reaching out for funding from the very people who want our product as badly as we do!
We have a range of pledge levels to suit all kinds – from Early Bird discounts, to KEEP THE DREAM ALIVE t-shirts we'll be screen-printing ourselves, to bundles of everything in between. We're comfortably projecting to deliver in September, with the iPhone 5 Snooze and Weave of course delivering sometime after the announcement. We have manufacturers lined up, and they're ready to start turning this dream into reality. This means reaching our goal earlier will let us move forward with suppliers and get Snooze to you even sooner! Thanks for reading our story, and thanks so much for your consideration.

Spread the Word: ALL OR NOTHIN'
Apologies in advance for putting this entire section in bold, but it's very/muy/très important! Not everyone knows that Kickstarter is all-or-nothing: If we don't reach our goal, no money changes hands. Right now you're pledging to fund Snooze if the goal is reached – this means if we don't raise the full $50,000, Kickstarter won't charge anyone and we won't go into production. We are literally depending on you and people like you who want Snoozes! Actually, even if you don't want a Snooze or Tshirt for yourself, please help us keep the dream alive by clicking the FACEBOOK or TWITTER icons above to easily spread the word to the rest of the planet!
Thanks so much for your support!
