Wally Sleeve is the perfect wallet for the true minimalist, or a convenient business-card holder. Carry up to 6 plastic cards or 10 business cards with the same easy pull-tab access that distinguishes Wally among the sea of minimal wallets. Walk out the door with just what you need; we envision Wally Sleeve replacing wallets across America this summer when Coin finally arrives (which as of now is on pre-order for 50% off, and yep, we bought ourselves a couple of 'em)...
Meet Wally Sleeve's big bro: Wally Bifold. Carry cash and up to 10 or so cards in a minimal billfold-style wallet with two Wally pockets + a money clip. Thanks to Wally's sneaky pull-tab design, you can access your cards without even opening your wallet. Slick. The pull-tab pocket design also eliminates the need for interior pockets and excess material that contribute to bulky wallets – so you can carry the same amount of cards in a wallet half the size (literally). Just imagine: No more fat-wallet backaches.
Hands-On Video of Wally Bifold in Giftbox. Enjoy!
We actually had the idea for a Wally wallet during our Kickstarter for Wally Case for iPhone 5. Folks loved the pull-tab access so much that we decided to apply that in a unique way to a regular wallet -- no iPhone required! It feels so good to bring the convenience and functionality of Wally to a wider audience.
The simplified construction allows us to come in about half the thickness of other billfold wallets. We distilled the design by removing the pocket dividers and extra liners for a super sleek and thin wallet that you can carry comfortably in your front pocket.
Since coming up with the idea, we've prototyped, refined and worked closely with our manufacturer to do a small pilot run to work out the kinks. One subtle but significant improvement in the design we discovered during testing was to relocate the pull tabs to the outside of the bifold. This gives you the most immediate access to your cards without even opening your wallet or showing off your cash. We've also flipped the orientation of the money clip to allow for more natural access, and added a pop of color to the interior of the pockets.
The black leather we've selected is durable yet soft, so Wally will age gracefully over time, conforming to whatever you carry most. We've passed around a bunch to friends and have gotten really good and helpful feedback that's lead to the Wallys we're sharing with you today.
Why Kickstarter: Here's Why We Need You!
We love discovering new products on Kickstarter, and being Backers gives us an inside look at how designers do what they do. As designers ourselves, we appreciate learning the whole story of a product, and we crave a connection to the people who are sincerely interested in what we're up to! For the past 2 years, we've launched all of our products on Kickstarter – the engaged community of early adopters makes us feel part of something exciting and special. It's always a roller-coaster ride, but one we've grown to enjoy the heck out of :)
We're raising funds to pay for the production/manufacturing costs. We've already ordered enough material to do a limited run of the Black Leather wallets. Because we have the black leather on hand, we'll be able to deliver those as soon as March, whereas the Brown Leather wallets that have been "unlocked" will take a bit longer as we source the right leather and await the arrival of materials.
Thanks so much, your pledges can make these Wallys come to life. Even simply sharing word of this campaign can help us reach our goal – so please, tell all of your friends who wear pants and/or carry a wallet!

Risks and challenges
As with bringing any product to market, surprises can pop up along the way. You can rest assured by taking a look at our track record of successful product launches and delivery. The photos you see are production-ready prototypes. We're seeking the funding needed to cover the cost of tooling (creating the leather-cutting dies), recouping the cost of materials, manufacturing our first production run to meet minimums, and also Kickstarter and Amazon fees up to 10%.
We have many years of experience creating iPhone and iPod accessories for big-name brands like DLO and Philips. Check out a small fraction of what we've done over on our website http://www.distilunion.com/pages/pastfolio
As for Kickstarter experience, we learned a whole lot on our first successful Kickstarter for Snooze, the iPhone alarm dock with snooze bar:
We applied what we learned to our second and third successful Kickstarters, which were for Wally - the stick-on iPhone wallet and Wally Case:
All three of these Kickstarted products are now a reality thanks to the generosity and gumption of the Kickstarter community. If you dig any of the Wally Minimal Wallet designs, please consider backing or sharing this campaign to help us bring another successful Kickstarter product to market! http://www.distilunion.com/collections/wally-walletsLearn about accountability on Kickstarter
