The Gay Romeo is a solo dance research work that I created for the final presentation of my masters program (MA Solo/Dance/Authorship, HZT) in Berlin.

I am honored that I have received an opportunity to revise the full length work for touring. Festival/Tokyo is one of the most important platform for showcasing contemporary dance in Asia. Artists like Jerome Bel and Saburo Teshigawara will also be presented in Festival/Tokyo this year. A jury will preside over the Emerging Artist Platform and grant their favorite work a full commission on the main stage in 2013.
Unfortunately, while the National Arts Council has generally been very supportive of my work, this is the first time I've been rejected in my application for a travel grant because the government of Singapore does not fund works that 'advocate or lobby for lifestyles seen as objectionable by the general public'.
Please help me bring my work to Tokyo. Any financial amount you contribute would be greatly appreciated.

I'm letting this be one of my goals... working hard to present The Gay Romeo at it's best!
