Stretch Goals


We know that we said we'd post these when we hit our goal, but we decided to post them early instead so we can get people hyped about what the games could potentially be like.

Our ideal state for the series will be achieved if we raise $64,000. Any more than that will just make the games better and better.

I hope that these goals excite you! Our backers have been very good to us so far, and especially lately! Yesterday we reached $44k, $45k, and $46k... all in less than 24 hours! Incredible. We're touched, you guys. Knowing this, we've got high hopes that we'll hit our base goal early so we can start attacking these!

Without further ado, the stretch goals for the Dysfunctional Systems Kickstarter:

NOTE: The base version of the game will have multiple endings on its own, although we're unsure of how many. The final stretch goal will add one more to however many we settle on.

      Considering that our start wasn't amazing, and that it didn't look as though we'd even make our base goal for a bit, we at Dischan feel that releasing our stretch goals early would have merely been perceived as a sign of arrogance. It could have potentially motivated more people to back the project, yes, but there's a reason many projects wait until they are funded or nearly funded before releasing stretch goals. Potentially, it is bad form to release them early.

      I agree with Crax, the ad might be better before. I would ask if open more places to offer, perhaps some we could add a couple of extra dollars. I wanna see those animated sprites x3

      At least they have the foresight to post it 5 days before the end. But really, an alternate ending that leads to a unique path in Episode 3? Seriously guys, you should've mentioned this earlier at least...

      I think you're seeing it a lot in these comments, but it really is unfortunate that these weren't posted earlier. Stretch goals are a HUGE factor for Kickstarters and often generate interest and higher pledges.

      Either way, I'd be excited for the game as is, and any stretch goals that we happen to reach are just peachy :)

      In my opinion, those goal lines should've been posted before hand XD Might've gotten the goal quicker ;) Eitherway, I really want those goals to be reached, that would be awesome!

      These are rad. Heck, even the first few stretch goals look quite promising (first week of school, prologue, *free*? Heck yeah!). The animation elements would doubtlessly be fetching as well. ^-^ Pretty snazzy goals, all! Also, kudos for placing this all on the front page. Very eager for this KS to reach its funding goal then skyrocket past it!~

      Would it be possible to somehow feature this more prominently on the front page of the kickstarter? I feel like people might miss it here, and stretch goals are usually a thing to be shouted from the mountaintops as early as possible.

      Either way, I hope it makes a decent impact during the final stretch.

      I can see the $54,000 being reached, but I think the others might be a tad adventurous ^^ Good luck though!

      Would be amazing if you could make it to $64,000 somehow, I'd love to see Winter's first week at school! Fingers crossed!

      @aramr This art is just for the stretch goals image. Overall, things look more bubbly and thick for stylistic purposes. She's going to shift through the goals, and that, too, will look dramatically different than it did in episode for the sake of style.

      The device at winter's wrist was wayyyy more thin and the "red LED thing" was more encrusted into it. Here it looks more like a watch with a black armlet and a grey frame for the "red LED thing". While before, it really felt like there was no subparts. So, it doesn't make it look as futuristic as it did.

      These are great stretch goals. I can see the Kickstarter reaching at least 59000 by its end, though I really want to see her first week.

      Just realized that the final stretch goal might cause confusion: the full game WILL have multiple endings by default, although we can't say for sure how many, yet.

      Awesome goals, even if I don't see you reach them with only five days left. But I can dream, right?
