Frequently Asked Questions
That is correct, my friends.
In a case of copy/paste gone wrong (I believe), the shirts were *ERRONEOUSLY* listed as being glow-in-the-dark. The plan from the beginning was for them to NOT be glow-in-the-dark due to the complexity of the design by Ben Templesmith, and since the campaign went live and people pledged for the shirts (THANK YOU) we couldn't go in and edit the text.
(You can see images of the shirts in Update #10... and I think upon seeing the shirts you'll understand and agree that even if we intended for them to have a glow-in-the-dark component, it would only take away from the stunning "pop" of the art itself.)
All of that being said, the shirts will remain *KIckstarter Exclusive*, meaning the shirts will not be made available ever again once the campaign ends... so if you want one, get one before the campaign ends!Last updated:
Just add the amount of the Add-On you want to your current pledge and you'll be able to then add the item(s) in question to your BackerKit at the end of the campaign... easy-peasy. (If you have any questions, though, don't hesitate to message us through here and we'll help you out.)Last updated:
This is absolutely correct. If you want the Stretch Goal items we unlock, your pledge *MUST* include the TALES OF MR. RHEE Volume 4 Hardcover in some way, shape, or form… which basically means any tier of $30 or more (with the exception of the “All Digital Everything”) will get you the “Big Box of Dirk” as we start unlocking the Stretch Goal bonus items. Any questions? Let us know!Last updated:
Given that the Hardcover Editions of TALES OF MR. RHEE Volumes 1-3 are all Kickstarter Exclusive, the only way to get them is on the secondary market… and I’m not going to lie, even that will be tough, as the RHEE HCs are made print to order, and the people who get them usually aren’t willing to give them up since they’re never made available ever again after the campaign ends. Some stores occasionally chose to stock some, though. Call SEANN’S ANIME AND COMICS in Sylvania, Ohio or COMICS & MORE in Madison Heights, Michigan… but do so quickly if you’re serious, as the RHEE HCs quickly become collector items!Last updated:
Why is the International Shipping for the “A Light in the Darkness” and “Gimme Everything!” tiers a little higher than everything else?
Because those candles are big and heavy – and we want to make sure they’re packed so well nothing bad will happen to them. I mean, it’s not like you’ll be able to go to the corner store and get another TALES OF MR. RHEE candle once the campaign ends, right?Last updated:
You sure can! Here's the amount you'll want to add per each item, with shipping included. Add this amount to your pledge now, and then at the end of the campaign the items can be added to your BackerKit at checkout!
Addition Single TPB: $15 + $2 shipping = $17
Additional 2 TPBs: $25 + $3 shipping = $28
Additional 3 TPBs: $35 + $4 shipping = $39
Addition RHEEv4 HC: $30 + $2 shipping = $32
Additional Shirt: $25 + $1 shipping = $26
Additional RHEE-ligious Candle:
1 for $20 + $3 for shipping = $23
2 for $30 + $5 for shipping = $35
If you want to add something else that's not on here, or have any additional questions, just shoot us a message through here and let us know!
Fear not, my latte-lovin’ friends: We’ll be offering more bags of Dirk’s Perk coffee in the BackerKit at the end of the campaign. Plan on stocking-up, though… because it will probably be another year before we offer it again!
UPDATE: Surprise! We decided to offer it early! You can now get two bags for $30 with no shipping! (One bag would be $20 with shipping... so if you can go ahead and treat yourself to the two bags, yeah? It's not like you'll be able to get any more of it again anytime soon, after all...)Last updated:
While I’m not sure what a “bae” is, exactly, I will say that K. Lynn Smith is a good friend of mine (she’s the one who put together the amazing video for this campaign) and I’m a huge fan of PLUME. The faux-rivalry between her and I about getting the Devil’s Due Kickstarter record is (mainly), for fun… and, hey, if we hit that number, we’ll get some new art from K. Lynn Smith herself! How cool is that, eh?Last updated:
The NIGHTMARE WORLD OMNIBUS is printing even as you read this, so pending nothing calamitous they should be stateside in about 10 weeks. From there they’ll be shipped to the Distribution Center (in Chicago) where they’ll be packaged along with the dozen+ other stretch goals in your “Big Box of Dirk” and shipped out to you – if you were lucky enough to get in on that campaign. Also, I post regular updates on that page, too, so you can look there for the latest details. We’re all good!Last updated:
Yup. The game will be launching on Kickstarter from our amazing friends at Greenbrier Games in May, which is one of the reasons I’m launching this campaign now before the NIGHTMARE WORLD OMNIBUS packages have shipped, as there’s characters in RHEEv4 who will be playable in the game, so you’ll want to have read this in order to get ready for that.Last updated:
Do I have to have read the first three volumes of TALES OF MR. RHEE in order to understand this one?
You’ll have a fuller reading experience if you read TALES OF MR. RHEE Volumes 1-3, of course, but I also adhere to the belief that you should be able to pick-up any book I’ve written and understand exactly what’s going on within the first five pages, tops. So, if you’re new here you can most certainly start with just RHEEv4… but I’d also encourage you to check out either the “I’m New Here…” or “You Complete Me” pledge level to get yourself all caught-up as we move into this newest book!Last updated:
Most likely, yes, if you’re into that sort of thing. Bonus points if you want to sing some metal with me.Last updated:
When will the funds for all of this good stuff be collected? Do I need to wait until payday to pledge?
You should certainly pledge when you are comfortable, but also be aware that the funds will not be collected until after the campaign ends. This means that the funds will be drawn from your account no sooner than November 13th... and if history is any indication not even for a day or so after that. In other words, if you see something you want, get it now, and then just make sure the money in in your account by the middle of November (ideally the 13th, just to be safe).Last updated:
