Frequently Asked Questions
Hey, I hear ya'... getting all kinds of cool free bonus stuff is one of the perks of backing a campaign like this on Kickstarter, right?
The easiest way to make sure you'll be getting ALL the Stretch Goal bonuses is to make sure you pledge at a level that, at minimum, includes the Hardcover Collection. If you do that, you're guaranteed to get ALL the bonus Stretch Goal loot. Bam! Just like that!
In the event that you don't want the HC (and would prefer the TPB "Soft Serve" edition or perhaps all the single issues, instead), you will need to decide if you want all the bonus Stretch Goal swag enough to up your pledge to $30. If the button, the art prints, and the bonus comic are worth the few extra bucks to you, manage your pledge according.
Keep in mind, though, that the bookplate signed by me and signed/head-sketched by Seth Damoose only comes with the Hardcover Edition of the book. Everything else goes to everyone who pledges $30 or more, though. Plan accordingly, and happy pledging! :)Last updated:
If you would like to add a commission from Seth Damoose to your pledge level, click "Manage my Pledge" and add $55 to your current pledge amount and we'll add that to your order! (Seth or I will contact you at the end of the campaign to find out exactly what you want...)
Please note, if you do this, drop me a message on here saying that's what the extra funds are for -- just so we can make sure you get taken care of. Thanks! :)Last updated:
I RHEE-ly would like to get a hardcover copy of TALES OF MR. RHEE Volume 1, too, so that both my books match on the shelf!
Oh, how the struggle is real! I can relate, my friends!
Unfortunately, we made a promise during the first TALES OF MR. RHEE Kickstarter campaign that those hardcovers would never be reprinted, and we don't want to go back on our word!
That being said, Devil's Due and I are indeed looking into ways to offer interested parties a chance to get a new HC edition of Volume 1... but we don't know how soon that will happen. Considering this, my advice is to get the TALES OF MR. RHEE: "Karmageddon" HC during this campaign while you can, so that, when we offer a new HC version of Volume 1, you'll be all set and ready for it. Cool?
(Plus, keep in mind, by pledging for a HC here you're automatically included in ALL the stretch goals! Yay for free bonus swag!)Last updated:
Well, can I add a TALES OF MR. RHEE Volume 1 TPB to my order? Or maybe those two issues of MERCY SPARX that he was in, too?
Oh, my completest friends... I get it, I appreciate it, and I would be glad to help you out. :)
If you would like to add the TALES OF MR. RHEE Volume 1: "Procreation (of the Wicked)" tpb to your current pledge, click "Manage Your Pledge," add $15 to your pledge amount, and drop me a note saying you want that tossed into your box.
If you'd also like copies of MERCY SPARX #6-7 (both of which feature both Mr. Rhee and Charity) to your current pledge, click "Manage Your Pledge," add $10 to your pledge amount (that's $5 per issue), and drop me a note saying you want those two comics tossed into your box as well.
Cool? Cool!Last updated:
If I pledge at the "Gimme Everything!" level will I really be getting 12 different items (and counting) for only $75? Am I reading that right?
Yes you are... and keep in mind that four of them (so far) are *Kickstarter Exclusive* items to boot! How cool is that?
At the "Gimme Everything!" level you'll be getting the *Kickstarter Exclusive* Hardcover collection, the *Kickstarter Exclusive* glow-in-the-dark variant of the T-shirt, SEVEN comics (the six pictured, plus the bonus Stretch Goal TALES OF MR. RHEE comic book by Josh Ross), the TALES OF MR. RHEE button, the *Kickstarter Exclusive* bookplate signed by me and signed/headsketched by Seth Damoose, and the *Kickstarter Exclusive* TALES OF MR. RHEE art print.
Oh... and keep in mind that, as we pass more stretch goals, you'll be getting even MORE free stuff! Gimme everything, indeed...
(If you add $15 to this pledge level and add-on the TALES OF MR. RHEE: "Procreation (of the Wicked)" TPB, your TALES OF MR. RHEE collection will instantly be complete! Neat!Last updated:
If I'm a store owner and I order "The Six Pack," will every HC come with all the bonus Stretch Goal swag?
First off, if you're a store owner and you're supporting this campaign via "The Six Pack," thank you so much! Be sure to drop me a line and let me know the details on your store so that, after the campaign ends, I can send out a note to my mailing list letting everyone know you've got the goods if they missed-out on this campaign!
That aside... ABSOLUTELY! If you order "The Six Pack" you'll get THREE sets of all the Stretch Goal swag... one set of bonus rewards for each Hardcover. (The tpbs don't come with the stretch goal rewards.) I would then encourage you to bundle everything together and sell the HCs and all the art prints and such that will be coming with it as one big TALES OF MR. RHEE: "Karmageddon" Package. That being said, they're your books (and bonus prizes), so you can do as you wish, though... ;)Last updated:
I noticed you mentioned in the "You Complete Me!" pledge level description that it includes all of the "Devil's Due apperances of Mr. Rhee"... but are there even more comics out there with Mr. Rhee in them?
Good eye, my friend! Good eye!
If you want to get uber-technical, Mr. Rhee does have a one-panel cameo appearance in the short story "Somebody Told Me" in the graphic novel NIGHTMARE WORLD Volume 2: "Leave the Light On" from Image Comics/Shadowline, also fully written by me.
The NIGHTMARE WORLD series (comprising three graphic novels to date) is also all written by me, and fans of this series will be quick to tell you that NIGHTMARE WORLD and TALES OF MR. RHEE both take place in the same universe/timeline, with several characters and events from NIGHTMARE WORLD (most notably, the three-day Armageddon/Rapture seen in "Karmageddon" as well as characters such as The Jovian and Thelma Lushkin + William)... and they're, of course absolutely right.
That being said, you do NOT have to have read any of NIGHTMARE WORLD to read, understand, and enjoy any of TALES OF MR. RHEE. Seriously. I make great efforts to make sure everything I write is completely stand-alone and new-reader accessible.
THAT being said, if you want to learn more about NIGHTMARE WORLD, you may inquire at your local comic shop or do so by checking out my "Author's Page" on Amazon, here:
