What is Dimensions?
Dimensions is a tabletop role-play game that redefines the traditional intensive time commitment and steep learning curve that is prevalent within the RPG category. Through simple & intuitive combat & encounter systems, it combines your favorite elements of conventional RPG storytelling & dice play with an online adventure portal that guides even the greenest of players smoothly through the adventures of our fantasy realm: Elnaria. It takes 5 minutes to go from opening the box to beginning your first adventure. There is something for new and seasoned players alike, from the simplicity of compelling storylines and a rich fantasy world to the complex behind the scenes game mechanics and decision system that lives within our adventure portal.
We have created individual episodes & seasons that will span the multiverse, so join us in Elnaria, the first of our Dimensions to go live, and uncover the truth about the secret society of the Brotherhood of Oloros. Pay close attention to where you adventure, you never know where the next secret lies.
Dimensions is brought to you by an array of people dedicated to finding the best experience for everyone. The founder, Alton Wheelhouse has been a passionate gamer for as long as he can remember. Alton is also the lead game architect and specializes in game mechanics and adventure design.
The box includes everything that you need to play Dimensions! You might be wondering why or how that could be? There are only dice, a couple cards, and a marker here. Well we have crafted dimensions in a way where that is the only stuff that you need. We only include six sided dice in the box, because that is the only thing that you will need to roll. This means that if you lose your dice that came with the game or want to improvise the game on the road you could grab some six sided die and be in the middle of a Dimensions game in minutes.
Often a lot of TTRPG games will need a complicated character sheet to track all the information that you will need to run your character. We simplified that down to a simple character card! Even better if you need to edit something on your character card you can do that with a dry erase marker. Taking damage, increasing a stat, or using your special ability is easy to track with a few strokes of your marker.
Part of our secret sauce is going to be the Adventure Portal, where stories are going to come alive. We explain that a little more below--getting into a table top roleplaying game story is never going to be easier.
While typically free-flowing player interactions are encouraged in Dimensions, combat is divided into rounds during which each Player takes a turn in order, starting with the Player to the left of the Storyteller and concluding with the Storyteller, who takes all NPC (Non-Player Character) actions. After all Players (including the Storyteller) have completed all available actions, the round ends and a new round begins, starting again with the Player to the left of the Storyteller and concluding with the Storyteller, who again takes all NPC (Non-Player Character) actions.
On a given turn, a Player may take one action unless specifically noted by a game effect or special ability. In our example below our Monk is going to make a melee attack against our evil, demonic elf. He is going to make a melee attack to try to defeat this elf.
Melee Attack: Hand-to-hand combat, hand held weapon combat, or to close proximity fighting. Based in the STR Stat.
Our Monk has a strength score of 3 and he is making a melee attack, so he is going to use three dice to calculate how hard he hits. Unfortunately, the evil elf has a strength score of 3 as well, so she is going to roll 3 dice to see if she can resist the strike.
Our elf rolled poorly, and is frustrated because it’s been happening all night, and fails to resist the strike. The monk gets a couple well timed strikes and does 3 damage, his strength score. This will continue until the monster or the players are defeated.
As a character, you can carry any equipment, weapons, tools, etc that you can convince the Storyteller it is alright to have. The Storyteller may dictate that you need a particular Story Item (like a magical artifact or a specific key) to allow the party to continue past a point in the Story; these are the only non-negotiable items. When it comes to attacks, trades, and solutions to problems, let your imagination run wild!
We don’t want to give away all the good stuff, but hopefully this gives some insight into what we have been working on for our game. If you have questions leave a comment or contact us on our social platforms!
A comprised digital game matrix that guides you through all the possible choices in the Dimension you just entered. You will be faced with decisions of where to explore, whom to speak too, and what to fight. The details on how you get there, are up to you. The portal will display a description of a room, or objects nearby you. During gameplay, this is displayed only to the designated Storyteller within your group. They then will describe to the other characters what they see, and what is around them. From there, it is up to the playing characters to argue and persuade the story teller that results in one of a few possible a conclusions listed within the possible outcomes given to the Storyteller.
Building Dimensions into a legitimate game takes a team of people, especially with the features we want to provide. Creating an immersive streamlined game that truly has something for everyone has taken the time, talent & energy of lots of people. Between writing, design, artwork, website, and building a unique game engine we have tapped all of our limited resources; but we want to do everything we can to produce the best game possible. With your help and the support of the community, we can open the door to a whole new generation of tabletop players.
This project is years in the making (literally), with hundreds of hours of testing and production sunk in. We’ve created digital and physical assets, rulesets, a starter campaign, and have sourced all of our physical products (dice, branded merchandise, physical character cards, etc.). Now we need your help to finish the Adventure Portal, create custom artwork for each of our dimensions and fund the additional writing and programming for the next generation of modules.
First, check out our Kickstarter FAQ on our campaign page. We will update this page as often as possible to ensure that the answers that you seek are readily available.

Thanks To All Of Our Supporters

Risks and challenges
We will do everything in our power to send you your rewards on time or sooner, and we have already made some purchases and print plans to ensure that goal; however, unforeseen problems with shipping, server issues, code updates, or inter-dimensional rifts could delay us just like any other business. Our commitment to you is to be transparent and proactive in solving those problems as far as we are able.
Our goal with each level of funding is to increase the quality of our product; as such, all images and designs have the potential to change and are not final. Similarly, first edition printings of the game may be exclusive and never printed in the same form again, though we reserve the right to produce additional printings and collectors editions as necessary to meet demand.
Finally, Dimensions is intended to be an evolving game. All of the content that we produce is subject to updates, revisions, improvements, and redactions, and we want you to be a part of that growth! If you have any ideas for improvements please contact us.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
