I know this comment is a little late, but I wanted to stop by and say how much I appreciate your offering up these free games. Gamers are pretty pushy and impatient folks, and I know your team has been hounded INCESSANTLY since Moonlighter was announced for Switch. It's not easy keeping the customer happy, especially in a culture where folks want everything RIGHT NOW. I was waiting for Switch release as well, but also purchased for PS4, so I've been playing and enjoying Moonlighter for weeks. Awesome game, all around.

Again, thank you constantly keeping your backers in the loop, and for giving us three free games to enjoy as compensation for the delay. Considering you were in no way obligated to do so really shows your heart and appreciation for the people supporting your work. (Not that I would ever snub my nose at a free game! ^_^) Congratulations on the completion of such a great game. Looking forward to when all the new patches/updates are added in for the PS4. Cheers! <3

Got to agree with Mikael, I understand releasing a game is no easy thing but kickstarter backers should have been prioritised above all. I would think the devs are pretty busy/stressed right now tho, so I am willing to cut them some slack. hopefully it's fixed soon.

Still nothing? Today was the maximum day they said and we still have nothing

Is it only the people who ordered the Switch version who gets the free games?

It’s just sad really. We helped fund this whole “adventure ” and then we don’t even get to play when it’s released. I’m sorry but this just feels really bad as a backer. Friends who asks how I’m liking the game, since they know I backed this, and I get to tell them “well I haven’t played it yet, since I’m not as important to the developers as the people whom they can still make money on”

      Hi,

@pontus Grönberg Thanks for understanding, having our first game released for all the platforms is a hard work... We are still contacting Nintendo for these keys, and I am personally constantly pinging the people in charge in order to have them as soon as possible.
@Travis Stindt We are doing our best in order to give you the keys as soon as possible. Once they arrive, we will immediately send you an email with the keys on it. :)

      Cheers,
      DS

    11. Travis Stindt on

But with that said, I'm still super excited to play. Let's hope it isn't to long of a wait.

    12. Travis Stindt on

I'm just curious why us backers couldn't have gotten the keys the same time the media received them for Switch...

Yeah i can understand that there is alot of work when bringing a game to a new system.
Great that you we are getting an updated version and that you are working on getting the Switch version up to date with the other systems.

How is the work with the keys going?

    14. Digital Sun Games Creator on

      Hello,

@pontus Grönberg We can sincerely say that the Switch release of the game was a lot of work, and some mistakes were made. This directly affects you, our fans, and we feel very disappointed with this issue. Nevertheless, we are working hard in order to solve it ASAP, and grant you the keys you asked and paid for. The Switch version of the game has been released with the v1.6, and now is currently active a day-1 patch that updates the game to the v1.7. The team is also working hard on having the v1.8 (with the big update) ready for certification. :)
@Rob, @Terry May We appreciate your understanding. :)
      @Melcirion Sorry!

And again, sorry for this issue. We will update you soon with more information regarding these keys. As soon as we get them, we will distribute them, and we will update you.

      Cheers,
      DS

Thank you for the update so let’s wait a little bit more. For the extra keys I will offer them to friends since I don’t have a PC now.

Ok, a few days delay isn't so bad. Thanks for clarifying.

And thank you for the free games guys that’s a lovely gesture, I really appreciate it. Especially as I can play them on my Mac

I feel disappointed right now. Was looking forward to playing sometime today but will have to wait a few days more. But can't help but feel like this wouldn't be that big of a surprise since the lack of information regarding the Switch release.
How come the information came this late and not at all about when we were planned to get the keys in the first place. The last week I have been looking for information on my mail, kickstarter and backerkit and couldn't find any information on when we were planned to get the keys.
But now I get to look forward to getting the key yet again.

By the way will the Switch release be the latest update (v1.8 I think)?

    20. Digital Sun Games Creator on

      Hi,

@Dustin Risley As we already said, we hope it is just a few days delay.

    21. Matt Green on

Super disappointing and yea I would have preferred a Steam key for Moonlighter.

      Hi all,

@Mikael Lehmann, @Stéphan Zych We are talking about worst case scenario, according to our publisher message, on Thursday.
@Terry May We totally understand your frustration. The keys given are a gesture from our part and our publisher's part in order to compensate the unexpected delay. We know that this don't fix the issue, but we only tried to soften the the wait somehow. We are sorry if it's not the solution expected.
@Kellen Freeman Even with this solution, some backers have already a key for Moonlighter in other platforms, so we decided to do it this way in order to guarantee that at least you can try other 11bit's games.
      @hornss Thanks for understanding it.

As we already said, we understand your frustration, and we are working hard in order to solve it as soon as possible.

      Thanks for your patience.

I love how you guys are considerate enough to gave us free 3 games(one of them is a great one too). I will be waiting. :D

    25. Kellen Freeman on

I think Mikael's suggestion is good. This KS has given me a bad taste. I understand the Switch release took longer, but after paying extra, waiting longer, and now on the day it's release I still have to wait, I'm really disappointed. A Steam code for Moonlighter would really be a nice gesture, especially since I'm not interested in any of the three games you've given.

    26. Missing avatar

      Terry May on

I mean....I'm not gonna lie, this is more than a little disappointing. I can appreciate delays happen but it'd be nice to get a little more info about what exactly has happened here to cause this or at least some kind of timeframe.

Right now, Switch backers have already had to wait a fair bit longer, which I totally understand as it was a late change/addition and I'm sure the vast majority of us were happy to wait. But now we have to wait longer for an unspecified amount of time.

The goodwill gesture of extra games is somewhat appreciated but I'm sure there are many people who either don't have a PC and/or already own these games. Personally I'd prefer a clearer idea of when we should expect a resolution.

I mean no disrespect and I appreciate delays can happen, as I've said. It's just a little frustrating. Thanks.

Congratulations! Have you a clue on when you'll be able to send those Switch keys ? I'm patient... but I'm stamping to play Moonlighter on my Switch ! :-)
      Best regards ! ;-)

Are we talking later today? Tomorrow? Or next year? You gotta give us some info. Also how about you give us a steam code for Moonlighter instead of some random games. At least then we can enjoy the game we actually payed for.
