Telekinetic, immortal, and devoid of emotion. The Eoni are fearsomely cold.
Psychic abilities, innate to the Eoni, are primarily used to provide support and offensive Strength attacks.
They are also capable of dispelling and buffing stats. Eoni are the strongest attackers next to the Mana Soldier.
The Mana Soldier's chaotic and unstable skillset weaponizes raw mana. Mana Soldier is the strongest offensive class in the game. Suited with a full array of harmful status effects, and centered around a powerful Hybrid attack, Rift.
If planned and executed well, a powered up Mana Soldier could take out another hero in a single blast.
Servos were originally designed to assist in communication between the Eoni and the Hume.
Recently, a special few have discovered how to reroute Servo's primary functions, allowing them to provide support to allies. Proficient in defense, Servos maintain the protective tank role.
Servo's high Vitality and Spirit allow them to stand in front of harm's way to mitigate incoming threats.
Mages train their deep connection to the planet channeled through positive emotions. Their practice represents the only politically accepted use of Mana.
Mages are the strongest healing class in AVARIAvs. Keep your party members topped up with both active and passive heals.
But not all of the Mage's abilities are friendly. Some practitioners have been known to emotionally demoralize enemies with more disruptive means, using their strong Mana stat in a more offensive approach.
Heroes & Archetypes:
There are 16 heroes in AVARIAvs.
Every Hero has two different Archetypes.
The Archetype of each Hero determines their Focusburn, Nano item and the growth of their three main abilities.
On AVARIA, emotions are dangerous.
AVARIA is home to two intelligent species.
First there were the Eoni: immortal, intellectual, spiritual. Born of the planet.
But entirely incapable of feeling emotion.
For most of history, the Eoni were the only intelligent beings on AVARIA.
A few thousand years ago, an Eoni finally stumbled upon an emotion. By feeling an emotion, that Eoni transformed into the first Hume.
The first of an entirely new species on AVARIA.
The Hume – beautiful, carnal, magical creatures – have been willing to live under the rule of the Eoni ever since, following their laws in exchange for guidance.
Why are we making this game?
If you're anything like us, your heart is filled with fond memories of playing (and re-playing!) the great Japanese turn-based RPGs. Finishing any RPG is no small task, and for me, completing one always felt bittersweet.
After tons of hours, game over screens, random encounters and emotional rollercoaster rides, you're left with a save file full of level 99 characters, a bunch of unspent gold, and a nagging question in the back of your mind:
"What should I do now...?!"
Sure, I could grind out a few more side-quests or even move onto another game, but somehow all that leveling, strategy refinement, and equipment tweaking feels left behind, almost lost in a way.
I dreamt of a game that would allow me to battle my friend's JRPG parties wth my own party.
As I grew older, I couldn't shake the dream of taking my Final Fantasy parties and putting them up against my friend's. I imagined that my level 99 Cloud Strife was somehow more skilled, quicker, smarter and maybe even a little bit stronger than my imaginary opponent's. I envisioned that my button presses and strategies would lead the party that I built to victory...
But alas, I never found an experience that gave me a true turn-based, JRPG style combat experience in a competitive setting.
So I quit my music job and decided to make it myself. Help us enable the gaming community to compete in a never before seen way: ultrafast turn-based combat!!
Our project has been privately funded up until this point through money provided by a few initial investors in addition to the team’s own capital and hard work. All of us on the core Juncture Media team have “day jobs” to support our lives and we work on AVARIA in our spare time.
Once we reached Alpha, we thought it best to finish our funding through Kickstarter to not only achieve our funding goals but also involve the community in our development process through an exclusive closed Beta available only to backers.
Our goal is to make the best game we can possibly make, a game that we ourselves are excited to play for years to come. With your help, we can aspire to achieve the highest quality that our team is capable of delivering.

Programming is the bulk of our expense as we move to complete AVARIAvs. This money will go towards our awesome Unity developers.
We strived to create a whole new world for AVARIA and this takes a lot of talented artists from around the globe to achieve. Art budget goes towards modelers, animators and concept artists.
We plan to attend GDC in San Fransisco this spring to solidify some business contacts for the AVARIAvs release. We attended last year and felt that the experience was extremely valuable. We are based on the east coast and the costs associated with traveling to GDC and our booth are included here.
Fees include Kickstarter fees plus legal fees for some LLC expenses and software licenses.
Rewards will include some of the physical product costs including apparel manufacturing, packaging and any additional development time needed to implement and deliver the digital rewards.

SCOPE: we realize that making an RPG style game is a major undertaking. Simply making a cohesive and balanced battle system from the ground up is hard enough let alone making it fun to play! Everyone on our team is fully aware of the large scope of our project. Having more than 2 years of development time already under our belt with a game that we've brought to festivals and conventions like GDC, Pax East, and more, we are confident that we are on the right track. Thanks to EVERYONE who's come by our booth over the past year and given us amazing response and feedback, we'll be battling each other across AVARIA very soon!!
THE LAST 10%: While we are in the final stretch of production for AVARIAvs, we realize that the last 10% can sometimes be the hardest. We're prepared for the challenges that will come during during and after our beta leading up to release.
