Infinite Space Battle Poker needs you!
As the funding deadline is only days away, Infinite Space Battle Poker needs your support very much, and very soon! Please share this post, and our enthusiasm, and ask all of your sci fi gaming friends to consider become part of the ISBP crew.
As enticement, here's a collection of ribald alien playing cards from Zubenelgenubi VII. Aha! That got your attention, huh? Well, sorry to disappoint you (space perverts!) but since you're looking, take a gander at the whole set of 52 cards!

Kudos and thanks to JP Farquar, Denis Loubet, Les Betterly and Jami Moravetz for their wonderful artistic contributions.
Infinite Space Battle Poker began as a card game hand drawn on little slips of paper last spring. It was one of two prototype designs. Two different stabs at the same idea. One, you see here. The other? File 13. Not because it was a bad design as such but because, as it turned out, it wasn't poker.
This game is very definitely poker. But it's poker modded. It's a floor wax AND a dessert topping. It's also a kind of sandbox card game. Infinite Space Battle Poker is a simplified war game that can be played using the rules of any poker variant that concludes with a five card showdown. It begs for experimentation and fun “house rules.”
We hope everyone "gets" what this game is. There's nothing else quite like it, not that this is the idea of ideas. It's just a fun thing we came up with that we thought others might enjoy too.
Iikka and I (RC), and all of the art folks, hope you'll join us in this new voyage into Infinite Space together. Let's place wagers where no human has placed wagers before! Let's bring EVERYONE aboard and engage! Let's get some decks made!
Ripcord out.
