Thank You all! Some reminders.

First of all, thank you all, we are on the home stretch for this Kickstarter campaign and we are excited to dedicate all our energy toward the production and shipping of the Digisparks! The support we have seen has been truly amazing!

Paying for Extras

You will not be able to order and extras, shields, cases etc once this Kickstarter ends so get your extras now!

Any extras you have added must be paid for by Sunday Sept 9th at 9PM PDT. Increasing your pledge to the amount calculated by the personal backer page is the only way to pay for extras, shields, etc.

You cannot pay for these items separately and selection and payment for extras will close when this project funds on Sept 9th at 9PM PDT.

We will be sending out final reminders via kickstarter message (to check for one go to the envelope icon in the top right corner of any kickstarter page when you are logged in) over the next 48 hours.

International Shipping Reminder

If you are located outside of the USA please ensure that you have added the proper amount to your pledge to cover shipping:

Reward levels $205 and under:
Canada: Add $5 (so the $28 reward requires a pledge of $33).
Anywhere else (except the USA): Add $10 (so the $28 reward requires a pledge of $38)

Reward levels over $205:
Canada: Add $10 (so the $500 reward requires a pledge of $510).
Anywhere else (except the USA): Add $20 (so the $500 reward requires a pledge of $520)

This amount must be included in your pledge by 9PM PDT on Sept 9th and cannot be paid separately.

Stretch Goals

We won't be doing any more formal stretch goals - we're just out of time to put them together - but we will keep thinking of how to give extra thanks to our backers, at the very least we're thinking of running a few more sticker designs and including them with all rewards.

In case you missed it this will be the main sticker design, included with all rewards:

also - in case you missed it - here is what will be engraved on some of the case panels:

Digispark Collaborations!

We are working on some collaboration with other kickstarter projects and we wanted to let you know about them:

SmartThings - we are talking with the SmartThings guys about making a shield for their modules, this would allow a Digispark to talk to the SmartThings cloud!

Multiplo - we are talking with the Multiplo guys about making the Digispark work with both their programming environment as well as their robotic kits - think miniature robots!

What's next?

When this campaign ends - the work has just begun here at Digistump. Next week we will post an update to show you a prototype with the final board design for the Kickstarter Special Edition Digisparks, as well as the final prototypes of all the shields.

Production will begin on the 25,000 Digisparks needed.

We'll work on kitting all the parts for shields, writing tutorials for the Digispark and the shields, putting up a wiki, collaborating with other projects, etc.

We'll keep you updated of all the happenings, so watch for updates!

Get the word out!

Once last time! Remind your friends and everyone on the internets that this is the last change to get a Digispark until after November! And the only chance to get the Kickstarter Exclusive Version!

@John - I certainly understand - we're as unhappily surprised by this issue as our backers. You can change your address until we start shipping in November. Good luck with the house purchase, I just bought mine a bit over a year ago, lots of paperwork but worth it! Thanks again!

    2. John McCormick on September 11, 2012

@Erik I'm not a penny pincher. But I had deliberately selected what I selected before and expected I wouldn't have to save a list myself and that would be the end of it. Just an extra unexpected (and unwelcomed) step at this point. I will very likely have to change my mailing address before you ship as well since I am buying a house. I haven't put it's address in because I don't know 100% for sure when it will be available. Looking forward to the product and I already have a use for it.

Everyone - please see the main comment thread for some honest answers on why we are asking that you reenter your extras. Thank you all for you patience.

    4. Erik Kettenburg 6-time creator on September 11, 2012

@John - I'm sorry if the final total wasn't clear. Looks like you came right up to your total amount with 25 cents to spare - if you'd like I can reopen your order if you want to squeeze out the last quarter!
We are very sorry for the issues!

    5. John McCormick on September 11, 2012

I did my best to guess what I had ordered. I was not given a total for my 'final" selection so I don't know if I went over or didn't quite get what I paid for.

    6. John McCormick on September 11, 2012

Reenable that backer portal (read only if you wish) so I can see what I selected before. Otherwise I'm going to be playing a guessing game.

    7. Ben Lorenz on September 11, 2012

j/k - It appears as SOON as you finish that first survey, a second one is sent to confirm add-ins. Talk about thorough! Really an awesome set-up Erik!

    8. Ben Lorenz on September 11, 2012

Hi Erik, just received the survey that covered the shipping details - I was just curious however how we will go about telling you which shields and extras we have selected. For instance I selected the 28$ reward tier, but pledged 43.50$ because I wanted to grab a couple shields and a case. Just wanna make sure I didn't miss something like a survey! Really pumped to start learning with Digispark!

    9. John McCormick on September 10, 2012

@Gavin Don't get your hopes up. Until we see more usage than 1 litre and 2 litre bottles of soda I don't think metric will enter the mainstream.

    10. Erik Kettenburg 6-time creator on September 10, 2012

      @Rohit G - we'll send out a survey shortly for that information

Hi erik...when are we supposed to give you our address details etc or did i miss something?

Cool, I'm happy to have helped fund the project and buy some add-ons once you've shipped something. Don't get me wrong, but many projects have failed to ship.

    13. Gavin Maxwell on September 10, 2012

@Doktor Jones. My question was tongue in cheek (hence the smiley), given the vast majority of the world now works in metric, and has done so for half a century or so... can't wait for the US to catch up with everyone else...

    14. Erik Kettenburg 6-time creator on September 8, 2012

@joshontheweb - John is correct, shields will be available on our website and in retail stores after November, this is the last chance to get them until after all Kickstarter rewards are shipped out.

@Kristian - we'd need a SmartThings system to design one, so we'll can't design one until we get our hands on one of their systems, we are talking to them about it but it certainly won't happen over night, sorry.

    15. John McCormick on September 8, 2012

@joshontheweb I don't think that is what it meant. I believe you can't order anything after the kickstarter ends until after the kickstarter orders ship.

    16. Kristian Aasgård on September 8, 2012

SmartThings shield would be nice, going to add them to the Kickstarter before it ends so we can order them together with the rest of the stuff?

why can't you offer additional shields outside of the kickstarter project? There are several that I want eventually but don't need currently. Is this a one time deal and the project will die?

I'm backing the Multiplo and it would be great to have another option to experiment with.

    19. Casey A. on September 7, 2012

Oooo .. SmartThings shield .. yes please!

      2.54cm -_-
(so a square inch is 6.4516 square cm)

    21. William Muk on September 7, 2012

Yes, I'd like the shield for SmartThings. Thank you :)

    22. Gavin Maxwell on September 7, 2012

      What's an inch...??? ;-)
