4 years since getting funded, 2 years since the last update. Still no prints.
I'm also having problems enjoying the comic while I'm waiting on my prints. I've talked myself out of buying several pieces of merchandise too, like the scarf on sale now. I already own a matching hoodie that I love. But I bought that before this campaign.
So... are we never getting the promised rewards?
I thought that I was missing out on a Backer Reward. Still seem to be. I'm pretty patient. Just hoping we get an update as to the whys and wheres. Creators have lives, and I know that some have exceptionally difficult circumstances in which to operate.
Did he drive that Pac-Man arcade machine to Wil Wheaton yet?
Richard hasn't updated in over a year and clearly has no intention of fulfilling the remaining rewards. I reported this project to Kickstarter and would encourage everyone still waiting on rewards to do the same. Perhaps we can at least get some sort of refund.
Just chiming it that we're going on 3 years here waiting for our rewards. An update would be nice.
I'm having a hard time enjoying your comic when each update reminds me that you are neglecting your backers.
Can we get some kind of update please? I really respect you as an artist, but this lack of respect to your supporters is hurtful.
It is now 2015 and we haven't had so much as an apology for the non-existence of the rewards since last March. Richard Stevens may be busy but I've seen on his website that he has new merchandise, so he obviously has time for that. I want a concrete answer about if we are getting what we have already paid for.
So apart from the USB robot thumb drives, which were nice, has anyone received any other item? I am one of the $250 pledgers who are still waiting on their prints.
Don't forget about the promised guest comic book... I would appreciate some word on its status also. Even just an explicit "not happening forget about it LOL", as the attitude towards the project seems to indicate, would give us some closure. I would be perfectly happy with just digital distribution of whatever is done, if shipping, printing or waiting for some people to finish is what's holding that part of the project down.
This project is probably the biggest disappointment of all backed projects for me, as I was really looking forward to receiving the print I backed for. The most sad thing is, that the projects creator happily continues his own website with new projects and products without giving at least the smallest update or explanation here from time to time.
I would appreciate an update as well. The lego heart was going to be an anniversary present that has obviously long passed.
I agree with Michael. Unless you have been in jail for the last two years, this is unacceptable. Either finish the Lego or issue refunds to those of us paid for them. I think 2 years is waiting patiently enough.
It's now 2 years past the estimated delivery date for the Lego skulls. It's obvious these will never be any sort of priority to you and you have no real intention of building them. Any chance that you'd be willing to provide some sort of refund to those of us who have given up on ever receiving them?
I have not forgotten- it's just turned out to be much, much more work than planned and I've had other commitments and difficulties that have gotten in the way. I'm not pulling any nonsense and appreciate no one sending thugs to my house.
Hi Richard, with the second anniversary of the projects funding coming up do you have any plans to ever ship the outstanding rewards?
what is up... at least report on the status of what is going on.
Almost 4 months since the last promise to deliver the Legos. Are the remaining items to be delivered from this kickstarter even on your radar at this point?
Just checking if the prints have shipped yet? My address detaisl in Aus haven't changed, but I'm still waiting on mine. Any update would be appreciated, thanks!
I have a backup on Dropbox that should work as long as a million people don't use the link:
Back in May you said you were going to make it possible to re-download the books for people that had lost their copies. Is this still happening?
its not really having to wait, which may slightly annoy some of us... it is the lack of updates. Even a monthly list of things which need still to be done would be nice to know whether one missed a shipment...
I promise, you will get those Legos. I made the mistake of really, really, really stupidly overscheduling myself last year and am finally almost out from under it. There will be no hat-eating required, just apologies on my part for the delay.
... Lego update?
In reality, I'm just assuming that I'm not going to get my Lego sculpture, and that makes me sad. Given that you seem to be a workaholic with regards to everything else, I've only got a couple guesses on what is holding things up:
1. Legal issues involving the use of Star Wars material.
2. No interest in fulfilling the remaining rewards.
But hey, I'll eat my electronic hat... if I ever get my Lego sculpture in the mail.
Some sort of update on outstanding items would be really nice, especially the Legos.
Dude, some heads up about the progress with posters and stuff really would be appreciated... it has been more than a year now since the end of the kickstarter. Maybe you should consider doing some progress bar like OOTS ;)
This comment has been removed by Kickstarter.
Any update on Legos? That would make my day.
No worries, I just wanted to make sure that it didn't get lost in the mail. Thanks Richard
Yup! I have really underestimated what it takes to do a couple hundred mostly different prints.
Hi, are you still working on prints? I haven't gotten mine yet. Thanks!
Hoping to get back into all the prints and Lego bits next week. I started before Christmas but Christmas got completely out of hand. I think the recession ended and nobody warned me. ;)
Hi Richard, do you have a rough estimate on how much longer you'll need for the prints?
Any update on Lego sculptures?
Hi there! Any news on the progress of the guest comic book? Just asking nicely :) Got my Red Robot way back in the day (and LOVE it!)
I still have to sit down and make prints, but all the Red Robot packs went out in July with very few exceptions! Drop me a line if it's missing. ( email@example.com )
(I can't track international stuff. )
Hey man... any update on shipping to the UK..? It's been a while now...
Hi. I pledged for the "Are You A Repli-Can or a Repli-Can't?" level but haven't recieved my Print yet. Have those gone out yet?
eagerly awaiting my signed print :)
@baldnate Fingers crossed, I can start on Legos and prints in about a week. I only just barely managed to get all the books done before Comicon/moving/wedding armageddon blew a hole in my summer. Haven't forgotten, though!
@John Fiala You should have had it in your Kickstarter inbox back in July. Message me if it's not there and I'll relink.
Is there an updated estimate on when Lego sculptures will be sent out?
So - as an $8 pledger, when do we get the ebook?
Yeah, sorry about pointing it out - my eagle eyes always make looking at not-quite-perfect images a bad experience. I'm sure for 99% of people it would be fine. (I have trouble watching Netflix sometimes if that gives you an idea)
Argh. I'm seeing it now. More bugs to fix!
The iBooks software fights to use jpgs for some insane reason unless you trick it with transparent images. My older iBooks were done before the current update. Not sure which book you're looking at. Any mush is unintentional.
Sweet - tried the iBook download on my brand spanking new iPad 3. Looks amazing ...
Is there any reason you're using JPG compression instead of PNG? It's not very noticeable (even to my eagle eyes) but, when you get red, it starts to look all horrid murky.
Loved the last question on the survey.
For some reason using "n/a" didn't come to mind, just "There is no other, only Zuul". O_O
After reading the survey I wonder if newer versions of pbmtoascii supports OCR of text. Alas I haven't had access to any machines running VMS in over a decade....
