18wheeples And a Dozen Roses!

Hello haulers!

Well, we zoomed past the $22.5K stretch goal last night, so 18wheeples for everyone! Yes, each and every box of The Great Heartland Hauling Co. will now include four wooden trucks for an even greater hauling experience. Thank you all for helping to spread the word and pushing Heartland up over that hill!

With only a little over three days left in the campaign, many of you have been wondering if we would be announcing a final stretch goal for the Long Haul. The answer to that is a resounding YES! If we all push, we believe we can reach $27.5K by the end of the campaign. And if that happens, we'll be adding something very special to each Kickstarter copy of The Great Heartland Hauling Co. - the "Badlands" Expansion!

Yes, haulers, we'll add a fifth 18wheeple, two scoring cards, one reference card, and two "Badlands" Locations to each copy of The Great Heartland Hauling Co. pledged for on Kickstarter. The "Badlands" Expansion will not be included in the main box; the retail copy of The Great Heartland Hauling Co. will be sold as a 2 - 4 player game. We may later sell the "Badlands" expansion separately through Dice Hate Me Games and retail, but right now here on Kickstarter, each copy of the game will receive the expansion for free - provided we reach the Long Haul, of course!

We realize that this stretch goal is, indeed, a stretch - but we can do it! With three days of buzz, the 48-hour upsurge about to occur, and the greatest backers on Kickstarter, the Long Haul is closer than it seems. So spread the word - get on Twitter, Facebook, Reddit, BGG, your CB, and even carrier pigeon, and let everyone know about our convoy!

All the best,
Cherilyn & Chris

i got in for the meeple trucks, so happy that this is now a 5 player filler game. Game will hit the table more often with our group because of that.

Interesting enough I only actually backed the game for the Serenity card. I was on the fence, but my only daughter I named Serenity, and when I saw that I had to sign up :)

Any chance the 18wheeples could be like flatbeds or something so we can put the goods ON them? That would be awesome.

Purple is my favourite colour!!!!! Must get purple :)
Carnival is one awesome game :)

      2 thumbs up for Serenity.

It is very odd indeed to already own all three of your games (or to have pledged for them) and therefore, to not have anything to stretch for. I feel like I should apologize or something! :-) Any copies of the Carnival Kickstarter stuff? That's the only thing we don't have.

    7. Jon Schultz on September 3, 2012

I'd like to third what's already been said. I already pre-ordered VivaJava after our awesome demo at Gen Con, but would totally be down for popping my pledge if there was a Hauling Co./Carnival level. Is that even doable this late in the game?

    8. Paul W. on September 3, 2012

I also would up my pledge for a copy of Carnival but I don't need a copy of Viva Java. My daughter saw that purple truckepple and started drooling. So lets hit that last goal with a furor! Three days and counting down!

    9. Daniel Palmer on September 3, 2012

I'd also up my pledge for a copy of Carnival since I already backed Viva Java.

As the saying goes - "lies, damn lies, and statistics!" Since this update there was the biggest monetary uptake since Day 3, including 37 new backers. The trending line has taken an uptick, and $27.5 is now within the "projection cone". I say full steam ahead - or whatever the trucker equivalent is!

Perhaps you guys are right, I apologize for my negativity.

    12. Kelley Callery on September 3, 2012

i'd up my pledge to add a copy of Carnival, but that option is not available. Is there a way to do that? I'm already getting VivaJava so the $110 pledge doesn't work for me. Let me know.

Thanks everyone for the enthusiasm and upped pledges!

Tristan, just as Dan said, trends are not predictions. With positivity and some encouragement, we can all prove those projections wrong! This is our chance to skew the charts, so think positive - we're already in overdrive!

As Kicktraq says, trends are not predictions. Since they posted the new stretch goal there's already been about $800 or so in pledges, and already nearly $1500 just today. It's definitely doable.

    15. Tristan Catalano on September 3, 2012

Based on current trends and projections, I think it's safe to assume we won't be getting that final stretch goal at $27.5k. Perhaps if the goal was lowered to 25k, it might be more likely to be funded, but as of now it's not looking like that expansion is gonna happen, unless they decide to grow it in anyways.

Great to see a 5th player option!

Well, up we go from Long Haul to Full Trailer on a Ship... :)

I'm going all out for this one. I was waiting for å reason to up my pledge. I really wanted VivaJava anyways!
