by Dice Hate Me Games
I'd like to know what's happened to my game. I filled out the survey and I'm waiting. Is it on its way?
Can't wait for this! :)
thanks for the reply. nevermind ... I should have looked at the main page before commenting: I filled it out on Jun 11.. must've been really tired ;-/
Lorna: there should be a giant banner on the top of the web page telling you that you have a survey to fill out.
Interesting. I got today's message... Now, I am logged into Kickstarter ... but, alas I see no link to a survey and noting notified me after I logged in (noted Lord Nimon's post) . . . Ok. So now I've looked at the Dice Hate me comment back to Tal stating that I need to go to the main page and scroll down. Obviously it's not a perfect system :-/
Tal: you've backed 45 Kickstarters, so you must know how surveys work by now. If you didn't get the email, then you'll get notified whenever you log into the Kickstarter web site. Surveys cannot be resent.
Besides, you obviously saw today's update, so you've gotten the message. People who haven't received both emails and haven't logged into the website are just not paying attention, period.
The surveys were already sent out, and cannot be sent out again. Yours must have somehow been filtered out by your email account. However, as you mentioned, you can access your survey by going to the main page of the Kickstarter campaign, scrolling down to the reward level you backed, and clicking on the link.
Email of 12 days ago, June 11:
Because of the pending arrival of Compounded, we are going to be sending out backer surveys today! Please fill them out promptly. If you will be moving between now and the first week in July, please make sure that you give us an address that you will definitely have access to for the whole month of July.
Well, the backer survey never arrived by email. I scour every email from DiceHateMe and no backer survey ever arrived.
I doubt that I'm the only one. No backer survey request appears in my spam / trash folder either.
Please send us the backer survey so that we can comply with your request.
Please run your announcements past a referee as well. A comment below suggests that there is a link to the survey on Kickstarter, but you make no mention or point us to that. I'm going to hunt for it now.
Great! I can't wait!
Kenneth: Sorry, I have to disagree. If you're not paying attention enough to fill out the survey or at least send a message, then you probably won't even notice if you don't get the game.
I'm guessing he is trying to motivate people that have not filled out their surveys to complete them. It could have been worded differently to sound more professional . We don't know how many people actually have their surveys filled out.
@elizabeth : I would send a PM to DHMG, i'm sure something can be worked out. Maybe a friend, or relative could accept the package for you. I would hope the military would be able to hold your mail for you till you are back in the states. They must have something setup like that for someone in your position, since they have people deploying and coming back all the time.
@Elizabeth & Kenneth
If you send a direct message about your situation, we can make case-by-case exceptions without a problem. However, on many past campaigns, we have a number of backers who do not respond to surveys or message us about issues they are having, causing delays to the ship out for those backers who do respond.
Wow! This has to be the rudest status update I have ever seen. Not only are you punishing your backers who likely have perfectly good reasons for not submitting their surveys yet, but you're also deliberately choosing to violate the agreement you have with those backers to cover shipping costs!? Harsh, very harsh...
I am military stationed overseas. I will be moving back to the United States and getting settled into new housing between 10 July and 10 August. Had this project been completed within even 90 days of the expected delivery date it would have not been a problem. Now you tell me that because I can't provide you with an address good for the entire month of July I must pay additional shipping. This is unacceptable on so many levels. If we cannot come to a mutually agreeable solution I will be contacting Kickstarter.
The surveys were sent out via email 2 weeks ago, and are also accessible from the main campaign page.
I think I found it on the main Campaign page. Though including a pointer to that would have been good.
You might want to fill out a link to the survey here. I think I filled it out and KS doesn't prompt me, but I could have forgotten it and it would annoy me to pay $10 for something that should have been covered.
