Quick Status Update!
Hi all: Apologies, it's been some time since the last update, and I wanted to tell people what's been happening recently:
The biggest update revolves the first Ryuutama supplement, and terrain/item cards:
It's been some time since I circled back on this one: In short, the text is ready save for about one more week of writing (the last two essays are being put together now).
The biggest change is that at first, I didn't think we had time to include a chunk of scenario ideas from the original supplement: Okada-san put together a bunch of "Mad Libs" style scenario ideas where an adventure seed is laid out with a few missing blanks, for the GM to fill in to create an adventure. It made up about 12-18 pages of content from the original supplement, and we've completed it for the supplement. We're able to include it this time, rather than moving it to a later supplement.
In the end, it will be about 1-2 weeks before we're able to go into layout on the supplement. The only potential hangup is that this will be a print on demand release through DriveThruRPG, and other friends have had a bit of a hangup the first few times they put products up for release. Availability of a book version aside, I expect the digital version to be ready and available by the end of the year.
Kuyler Lang has finished the art for the Ryuutama Item cards, and they are indeed gorgeous; the only setback is some layout software compatibility issues in layout, and getting them prepped for a format that will work with DriveThruCards (they're the hands-down best for print on demand cards: Every set of cards or games I ordered from them have come out beautifully). Some editing is required on these, so I expect them to be ready in a few weeks following the supplement above.
The Terrain cards have been available on the website for some time, but on those too we want to go ahead and make an official print-on-demand card set (separate from the above item/weapon/etc cards): Those will be available within the next few weeks following the supplement.
I'll have another update before the end of the year with the finalized supplement text, then the final layout version.
