New Japanese RPG Project - Shinobigami: Modern Ninja Battle RPG
Hey Ryuutama supporters!
Sorry to hit you all up, doubly so if you also backed Tenra (as you'll get two of these identical updates) on this matter.
Also, we are indeed in the middle of fulfilling Ryuutama core books, especially to the few who didn't receive theirs due to mail slowness, bouncebacks, unexpected hiccups, etc: We are working to resolve all of those residual issues very shortly.
I wanted to take a second to announce our latest role-playing game translation project from Japan, Shinobigami.
The picture of the extremely fierce, capable young shinobi woman pulling out her sword to Kill Dudes with eyes that illicit pure rage, while at the same time crying... pretty much sums up the game. :-)
It's a game of drama, action, tactics and frenemies, set in a modern ninja cold war. It combines elements of a story-focused RPG with German Board Game elements (!!!), and even secret role elements like Werewolf/Coup.
It's a very different experience from Ryuutama: It's a one-shot (one evening) RPG, and it's not very "honobono" (though you CAN do those kind of scenarios! It's just far from the default style of play). However, it is a legitimate Japanese experience, in fact the gameplay and book design is unique even within Japan. We hope that you'll find it of interest.
One thing that it will share in common with Ryuutama, though, is that we're going for a gorgeous "limited edition" faux leather cover edition with Shinobigami as well, because of how well it turned out (all the wonderful feedback from you guys!) with this campaign. You won't be disappointed. We even created a funding level of "get the regular AND limited edition books", based on the feedback in Ryuutama we received from you all.
I could say more, but the pages we put together already do that so well! Here's links to the KS campaign and the official website.

Again, thanks for your patience and support. We'll probably send one more heads up notice when Shinobigami is drawing to a close (for folks on the fence), around the same time when we post information about the first upcoming Ryuutama supplement and its contents.
