Each year, the robotics team of Davidson High School competes in the B.E.S.T. Robotics competition in both the local and regional competition. We have six weeks to construct a robot, prepare a marketing presentation, and document our progress in an engineering notebook presented to judges on game day. We are proud to have won first place in the local competition eight years in a row, and are very eager to continue our streak. This year, our team consists of forty-two high school students all interested in developing their experience in the field of engineering.
The funds raised will go towards the materials, training elements, and travel expenses involved in the competition. Safety is our number one priority, so we make an effort to keep all our equipment in good condition. Additionally, the regional competition occurs in Auburn, Alabama, and transportation for the entire team can be costly.

Risks and challenges
Although we have advanced to the regional competition over 8 years in a row, there is a small chance that we do not advance. If this is the case then all funds received will go towards next season's efforts.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
