We have now achieved our £15,000 goal, which adds five bonus DLC stories to be released shortly after the games official release.
About the Game
Starlight Blossoms Bloom Brightly is set around a group of women, stuck on a ship (against their own will) in isolation forced to search for a habitable planet in the infinite cosmos.
The game is yuri in nature and only features female characters, aiming to be released on Steam and other platforms for PC, Mac and Linux in April 2017.
Artwork for the game was recently started and we will be posting new images from the series throughout the next two weeks of development including the first CG scenes in the coming days and the final design for the third character.
The game Blossoms Bloom Brightest was originally created by independent developer Jacqueline Maillet, a talented writer and creator. Whilst searching for new talent for our own games we found Jackie and after working on some projects together came to an agreement to take her creation and expand it into our own sci-fi universe we call Starlight.
Thus Galaxy Angels: Starlight Blossoms Bloom Brightest was born, with us collaborating together to create a much larger and more visually impressive game than Jackie might have been able to do on her own.
Jackie is now working on expanding the games story, effectively increasing its size by over double, adding new storylines, endings and events to explore, including fun, ecchi and adult scenes.
Dharker Studio meanwhile is heading up the re-coding and visual re-development with our favourite artists to give the game a great feeling and ambience from impressive background designs to intense and powerful character designs and illustrated scenes.
The game currently features three characters (including the protagonist), however if our primary target is reached we will expand it to include a fourth character which will be announced when the goal is met.
The protagonist of our story, it is through Erica Matthews eyes we learn of what is going on, on-board the Starlight class ship and interact with the other people she shares the ship with.
The next crew member is one Kotoha Ichinose, a girl very much into punk and gothic styles loving to sport different colour makeup from day to day, she has a fun personality though she did not choose to be on board this ship.
Sara Evans is another crew member on board against her will, a strange woman that is much more sophisticated than the other two on board. (Full character design is still underway, but below is the original character concept)
Our new character funded via this campaign, Emilia... A stowaway on board the ship and a surprise character during the game.
Development Plans and Releases
Currently we have a small but dedicated team working on the game to ensure a release in April 2017 can be reached. Including Dharker coding and developing the title, Jackie continuing to write and expand the story, Kopi Anget working on the amazing artwork (previously worked on our Negligee game).
With your help we can expand the game even further, currently we have the funds to make a reasonable sized game, but if we can hit the primary target we can continue to expand it, including more content and ensure an April release in 2017.

Our aim is to begin beta testing at the end of January and as such we have decided to make this a short and sweet campaign, finishing on Christmas Eve, so that if we achieve our target we will receive the funds in early January to ensure an easy transition.
We hope you will join us in trying to create a great game, all funds raised will be going towards paying Jackie for the extra work she is doing and Kopi Anget to ensure the best artwork possible is made for the game and then to other contractors as needed to complete any stretch goals we reach.
We have now confirmed that we will be utilising Backerkit for digital and most of the physical reward delivery, roughly one week after the campaign ends, we will send out backerkit surveys.
The surveys will allow backers to choose add-ons they have selected, increase their pledge level if they wish and for a limited time even select other rewards we are able to make available as well.
We intend to then begin delivery steam keys and certain physical rewards by the end of January to coincide with the release of the games store page on steam and the Beta testing phase of development. Other rewards will be released along the way.
Risks and challenges
We have already begun development of the title and are confident that we can upon successful completion of the campaign release the game in April according to our schedule, we have already worked things out so that this campaign does not impact our existing commitments and likewise our other developments will not affect this.
Our aim is to bring an amazing title for release in April 2017 for all of our backers as well as a wider audience to enjoy and this kickstarter will help us to achieve this goal.
We currently have several backup coders, writers, editors, musicians and artists working for us, so that if something unexpected or tragic did occur we would be able to switch over with minimal loss of polish or development time.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
