DD3 The Misty Halls of Kalávorka adventure module is the third project of Dungeoneers Guild Games’ DUNGEON DELVE game adventure line. This product is designed specifically for the first edition of the original, and everyone’s favorite, fantasy role-playing game. It can easily be adapted to most fantasy role-playing games including the advanced 2nd edition game, the original game, the B/X or BECMI (“Basic”) games, most old-school renaissance (OSR) role-playing systems, and most other game systems. All DGG products are designed to evoke the look and feel of the classic D&D and AD&D modules of the early and mid-1980s.
“The Misty Halls of Kalávorka” will be available in print and eBook PDF versions. The print version has the classic module format with stapled booklet, and features a removable two-panel cardstock cover. The maps are printed in classic dungeon blue on the inside cover for that genuine old-school gaming feel. Creating a module of quality production, artwork, and printing is the paramount goal of this project.
A lost vale located in a high mountain range is home to a clan of mysterious giants. Sages believe the giants have strange powers that no other of their kind possesses. Yet, no one has heard anything from these giants in decades. Do they still dwell in their misty fastness? Do they really possess these reputed powers, and if they do, what are they? Crafty giants, evil gnomes, and a weird guardian await any adventurers who go seeking the lost halls.
“The Misty Halls of Kalávorka” is a forty-page module of high adventure, exploration, and mystery with a minimal plot that allows it to fit easily into any campaign world. In this adventure for mid-level characters levels 5 to 7, the player characters will explore a mountain wilderness searching for the halls of the cloud giant, Thorogang. Legend has it that the giant and his clan possesses the ability of second sight and prophecy. Beings of all types seeking knowledge of hidden mysteries flocked to their mountain fastness for guidance. Rumor has it that the halls themselves hold the secret of the giants’ powers. However, no one has seen or heard from any of these giants in years. All that is needed is a group of highly motivated and brave adventurers can uncover the truth of what happened to the rulers of the fabled misty halls.
The first section of the adventure details the remote mountains the where giants’ hall is rumored to lie in. This includes a wildness map, wandering encounters, and ten numbered encounter areas. The second section details the halls of Kalávorka which consists of thirty numbered areas spread over four dungeon levels. The GM can easily place the dungeons of the misty halls in any fantasy role-playing game world they prefer.
The module contains fifteen original black and white illustrations by Bradley K. McDevitt, Jared Binder, Matthew Ray, Justin Youso, and Russ Nicholson (of the original Fiend Folio fame). Interior art pieces are done in the old-school ink style. Bradley K. McDevitt created the striking cover art illustration depicting a couple adventurers engaging in a life and death struggle with some of the denizens of the hall.

Backers of the Kickstarter will also receive a copy of the first DUNGEON DELVES SIDE QUEST module, “Shipwreck at Har’s Point”. The SIDE QUEST modules are short adventures that can be played in a single night, either as a standalone quest or part of a larger campaign arc.
Nothing much usually happens in the sleepy fishing hamlet of Har’s Point. Recently, however, a ship has crashed on the rocks outside of town. Now rumors concerning treasure it supposedly carried are running rife amongst the fisherfolk. Some of these rumors hint that dead sailors from the ship are now walking the nearby beaches at night. Even more concerning, a mysterious stranger has been spotted around town. A few inquisitive adventurers might be able to discover what exactly is going on in Har’s Point.
“Shipwreck at Har’s Point” is a twelve-page module with a world-generic setting for characters levels 1 to 3. In this adventure, the players uncover the mystery of strange happenings near a small coastal village. The lure of treasure on a wrecked ship turns into something much more ominous that leads to a confrontation with the dreaded devils of the sea. Cover art and interior illustrations by Matthew Ray.

ABOUT THE MODULE DESIGNER:
My name is R. Nelson Bailey. My start with playing role-playing games began with Advanced Dungeons & Dragons in 1983 and has never stopped. For the last 16 years, I have run a weekly AD&D game with a group of dedicated players. As with many kids of the day, it was my dream to have TSR publish one of my modules. Now I am doing that with Dungeoneers Guild Games. “The Misty Halls of Kalávorka” is the third in a line of classic-style adventure modules. Previous modules in this line are DD1 Tower of the Black Sorcerers and DD2 Dungeons of the Dread Wyrm. The fourth Dungeoneers Guild Games project, titled “Secret of the Silver Spire,” will come out later in 2019.
