Greetings social deviants!

Thank you to all our supporters for your contributions and questions. Its been a busy few days on our side:  Answering questions, running battles, planning for Metatopia and fine-tuning maniacal schemes. Speaking of battles, we just closed the voting on our first Basket Battle and it sure was close, but there can be only one and that one is... nope, we're gonna make you wait till the end of the update ;-)

Metatopia 2013

Wooo, Metatopia! The convention for gaming industry professionals is fast approaching and Epic Picnic will be there alongside hundreds of other games, all of which are in some state of pre-production. Designers and players meet under one roof to further the table-top and LARP industry through panels, seminars and of course - game testing!

If you live in the north eastern United States and are interested in attending so you can rub elbows with us and check out Epic Picnic in person, head on over to Metatopia's website for registration details.

If you are already going, come find us and maybe play a round or two!

In other news...

This last week was admittedly slow in terms of pledge progress, but Ant and I are driven and steaming ahead, constantly looking for more ways to make everyone aware of Epic Picnic's existence.

For instance, Epic Picnic was just featured on Today in Board Games's Issue #70 as pick of the day (thanks, Roger!) for their Back it for a Buck (B4B) Challenge! For those not familiar, B4B's goal is to show support for the designers and publishers that are putting their time and effort into bringing you great new games via Kickstarter (and other crowdfunding platforms), and to help those designers and publishers connect with gamers. Its a great program that we hope to see continue and evolve well into the future. They also have a BoardGameGeek thread so you can show off your recent backs and share games you think are deserving.

... and finally, the winner!

Yes! The moment you've all been reading towards - the Basket Battle #1 winner, by only two votes is:

*Drum Roll*

Congratulations to our probe-wielding alien neighbors! Sorry, kittens - we'll always have Paris. Stay tuned for Basket Battle #2, starting tomorrow!

Until next time,

- Ant and Eric
