New Erica Wiley Painted Variants added - Scroll down for More Details:
At long last, Mercy Sparx Returns in an all new issue! And we're picking up right where we left off with her ongoing series, with lucky #13!
We’re not messing around this time, and are bringing you FOUR killer variant covers. All signed, bagged and boarded, and now including Certificates of Authenticity!
Matt Merhoff returns for the UNLUCKIEST cover of them all, accompanied by Arsenic Lullaby’s Doug Paskiewicz, This Off Beat Town creator Jake Smith, and Buffy / Fray artist Karl Moline!
And for the first time ever, Josh Blaylock brings in a co-writing conspirator to help put words in Mercy's mouth - Pat Shand! Pat is the creator of the Devil's Due horror hit Little Girl, as well as a ton of other awesome $#!+.
On board for interiors this issue, we introduce brand new talent CLAUDIO AVELLA! Greg & Fake Studio return for colors, and Micah Myers is on the case for lettering!
Newcomer artist Erica Willey has contributed two painted covers. The first, featuring Mercy in her blonde human form, cuddling her childhood toy, Klopsy.
This variant is ONLY available as an ADD ON, at $10, and will be signed by Josh Blaylock.
Second - a SUPER LIMITED variant from Comic Book Displays, of which we're only making 50 available - devil Mercy resting on her infamous angel axe, we're calling "Devilish Paradise".
This cover is ONLY available as an ADD ON at $20, and will be signed by Josh Blaylock.
With issue #12, things looked bleak for Mercy and friends, with her maniacal, manipulative mother, Faustia entering the scene, but with issue #13 we promise that everything will... you know what, forget it. We're not promising anything will get better - in fact, the $#!+ may get even deeper for Mercy! OR it'll all come out puppies and rainbows. You'll have to read it to find out.
Following #12, Mercy was forced to delve into events in her past, searching her memory for answers to thwarting Faustia, and she may have found the key. This paved the way for Mercy Sparx: Year One, where we learned about Mercy's childhood in Sheol, the conflict between her parents, and her only true father figure, the badass, but tragic Karduk, a toddler Mercy, a pre-Mercy Hank, and other fun characters that explain her f###ed up origins.
(The events of Mercy Sparx #10-12 and Year One #1-3 have all been collected in Vol. 4)

Risks and challenges
Any risk in this campaign is very hard to fathom, but we understand that circumstances out of our control may happen, "acts of God", etc. It is always possible that printing and manufacturing delays can happen, product can get lost in the shipping process, or human error may cause something to not be sent. That's why we've worked so hard to create an iron-clad system to cater to Kickstarter backers. Each person receives a PHYSICAL file folder that backs up our digital, keeping a record of what has been sent, what is still pending, and any problems that may have transpired post-reward-sending. We're in this for the long haul, and want you back for many more campaigns in the future, and that only happens if you're happy with how this one goes!Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
