Frequently Asked Questions
Yes! We'll work with Corax Games, they'll make their own campaign on Spieleschmiede. You can get the German version either here with us on Kickstarter, or with them on Spieleschmiede. It's up to you what you prefer! There's no difference in the game you'll get.Last updated:
Literally everything! If you see we support a language, it means everything you see in this campaign will be available in that language.Last updated:
Not at all! EVERY scenario is written by an actual author! For instance we have Stephane Anquetil, who wrote for Sherlock Holmes Consulting Detective, Guillaume Montiage who wrote for Time Stories and Ghislain who made Not Alone.
It's interesting to note however that the game offers the possiblity for writers to create slightly different endings depending on the choices players make during their game. It's the case of the first London scenario, "Facing Mystery".Last updated:
Yes! We will release a scenario editor, thanks to the dedication of the backers who unlocked it! There's still a lot to decide about it, how it will work in the details and what shape it will have. We'll keep you posted about its development!Last updated:
Some of these Scenarios can have a common global storyline, elements that you can find from one scenario to another, possibly reoccurring characters or events. In that case, they'll be part of a global Story and will be shown as such in the app.
As an example, London Forensic (the base game) has 1 Tutorial and 5 scenarios (without counting Stretch Goals). Some of these scenarios, including the first one called "Facing Mystery", are part of the bigger Story called "The Power Behind".
No matter if they're part of a Story or not, each scenario plays for about 1h ~ 1h30.Last updated:
Our VR works with any device that supports Google Cardboard.Last updated:
You can already try to download it on your App Store (iOS) or Play Store (Android)! Just search for "Chronicles of Crime", the app has the "C" of "Chronicles" as a logo and is developped by EVERYDAYiPLAY. If it tells you it's not compatible or if you can't find it, it means your device doesn't support it.
We're constantly working on making it accessible to the largest amount of devices possible! Also, some devices may not support VR or Gyro (it doesn't have the gyroscope which allows the 3D crime scene to move following your moves with the device), but it may support the panoramic view of the crime scene, where you can use your finger to scroll through the 3D crime scene!Last updated:
Not at all! You just need a connection to download the app or a new scenario from the Store, and then you're done. You don't need an Internet connection while you play!Last updated:
As long as this game is a success! We know what we have in our hands with this project: a game with a huge potential in the long run. We could still be releasing new scenarios in 5, 10, 20 years if that's possible!
The whole game was designed specifically for replayability in the future: you buy the box once, and that's it. Whenever a new scenario comes up, you download it from the Store, take your 2-5-10 years old box off the shelf, and start a brand new story.
We have no way of telling you how long we'll support this game, for the simple reason that we don't have any time limit!
If that means adapting the app so it works on newer devices that don't exist yet, then of course we'll make sure to update the app's software accordingly.Last updated:
Some of our Stretch Goals have a "Kickstarter Exclusive" or a "Kickstarter Premium" logo on it. Some have nothing. What does it means?
- Kickstarter Exclusive: it means the only way to get it is through this Kickstarter, period.
- Kickstarter Premium: it means it's free for the backers, but it will be available in Retail, except it will be paid.
- none of them: it means the content will be included in the Retail box.Last updated:
You should pledge for the Ultimate, with $89 + $49 (that's $138) + shipping. You will tell us what you want exactly during the Pledge Manager!Last updated:
Some of you are new to Kickstarter, so it seemed appropriate to explain.
Kickstarter isn't built in a way that allows you to tell us very precisely what you want, especially if you want more than just 1 copy.
Because of that, many Kickstarter campaign, when the campaign is over, run what's call a Pledge Manager.
It's basically a survey online, where you'll be asked a series of question. You will see how much you pledged on Kickstarter, and from that, tell us what we should send you in return: which boxes, how many, to what address, etc. You will be able to add stuff like add-ons or additional boxes, and pay the difference on the Pledge Manager.
You will receive a link to that Pledge Manager by email in due time.Last updated:
Yes! By pledging just $1, you will receive our Pledge Manager.
If you can, don't hesitate to do your full pledge now so it helps unlocking more Stretch Goals :)Last updated:

Yes! We want to ship everything at the same time.Last updated:
Up to 3 copies, yes. So if you order 3x Ultimates and that you live in France for example, you'll only pay $9 of shipping for the whole order.
If you want more than 3 copies, then there will be additional shipping added in the Pledge Manager. You may pay that additional shipping directly here on Kickstarter if you want to.
If you want to order 6 copies or more, then you should go for the Group Pledge !Last updated:
