Our new film is successfully funded!

Dear Backers,

Our newest film Hanzi - a documentary on Chinese Typography, was successfully funded last month with the help of 469 Backers! Thank you!
We reached our goal within two weeks of the launch, and ended up at 188% funded through the whole 45 days campaign. We are thrilled by the overwhelming support, encouragements, and wonderful comments we received, which encourage us to be more confident in the oncoming journey.

Since May, we've held our World Premiere and won the Big Nomad Prize with the Urban Nomad Film Festival! Meanwhile, we’ll be having our North American Premiere with the Sidewalk Film Festival in late August. October in Singapore, we’re the opening film in A Design Film Festival!

Hanzi is open for screening requests for Educational organizations, NPOs, and Corporations!

We invite you to visit our website here for more information:

Featuring interviews from US, UK, Hong Kong, Japan and Taiwan, Hanzi provides a different perspective on design, and explores culture and identity through the lens of modern Chinese typography. Currently we’re in the final phase of post-production and distribution, and we need your support to bring the best film to the world and spread the important insights of language, culture and identity to a larger audience.

Support us on Kickstarter now or follow us on Facebook.

We can't make it without you, and we'll keep you posted how it goes. Thank you so much!

Warmest regards, Maker Team

Maker will be world premiering soon first in the San Mateo, Bay Area MakerFaire 2014. And secondly teaming up with the 2014 Taipei MakerFaire, our Asian premiere in Taipei will be on May 24 & 25th. The tickets were sold out within 2 days, and more screenings are coming up.

For Backers who are interested in hosting a screening for Maker, you can fill out the form here, and we'll get back to you as soon as possible :) For those who are interested in hosting a screening in Taiwan, we also have a Chinese form here.

You can follow Maker for more information on Maker's website, Facebook, or Twitter!

We sincerely thank all of you. Without you, we would never have finished Design & Thinking. And Maker would have never been born had we not have Design & Thinking first. So thank you all, and thank you all in sharing our joy and excitement :)

Currently we are crowdfunding the film on Kickstarter. It's been around 4 day and we've already had 227 backers and over $5500 in funds. We're really amazed and excited. Also, we're very honored to be on the Kickstarter "Staff Picks" & "Project of the day."
