@Matt Legowski, @Eminus Sleepus
Ah. Well I stand corrected then. Thanks! :)
Yay! You all had me worried there. Looking forward to 2016!
...and I really hope this one includes good Oculus Rift support. That would be amazing!
That was too close for comfort ;-)
Good luck guys. And keep those videos coming ;)
Just awesome! Well done guys! We spread the word and encouraged the peeps..!
Wow that was close! Congrats.
Congratulations to the Descendent Studios team for the successful Kickstarter campaign!
Remember, the pledging continuous on http://descendentstudios.com/store
and there are still stretchgoals to be achieved:
$625,000: Shaman (repair ship)
$650,000: Torch (light combat ship) for every backer
$675,000: Warlock (technical specialist ship)
Nice! GJ everyone! :)
Prepare for descent, well done guys you have some guts. Regards from 'blessu' in the UK.
CONGRATS! I was worried when I checked in a few days ago. I'm looking forward to getting in some old-fashioned 3D blasting!
Just please PLEASE make controls and gameplay smoother than Strike Vector! :D
Congratulations! Wow, this was a close one.
Logitech M570 + G13 at the ready! Gonna be like old times! :D Also, I don't think people were "trolling" at the end. Some people probably committed beyond where they were financially comfortable hoping to make this happen. :)
Holy crap; This. Is. Awesome. So pumped to finally see Descent back in action!
Oohhh.. yea..! Time to dust off my old Sidewinder Precision Pro. ...in 2016
@Ryan Allen that 16% is for the 625k goal
....I meant to also add that I would PWN all of you with that setup, except for the fact that I am quite possibly THE worst gamer....EVER, but I love Descent!!
No, that 16.57% is showing the progress to the next objective since hitting the last one - $4,143 of the $25,000 needed for the Shaman stretch goal.
Congratulations! Ecstatic that Descent made its goal. I hope that the Warlock, Shaman, and Torch will be in the game.
Who needs "A" joystick, when you can have 2? ....and 2 mice, and programmable keys!
You don't need a joystick port on your computer, just get a USB adapter for it.
@Creators Can you please provide an estimated timeline when alpha, beta, physical items, etc will be available?
I think that number includes PayPal pledges outside KS @Ryan Allen.
Could be wrong here but I think that's the case.
What's your DU handle in Forums JVVH ? I'll see if I can get that 4 pack for you.
It's not on the DS website store. Thanks for your efforts. ;-)
The true number is revealed on the website.
Total raised: $604,143 (16.57% of total goal)
Total goal: $3,646,005
3.6 MILLION is what they need to make DU.
Huzzah! - Well done people. Very well done.
The legend will return next year!!
@William - I know where my SpaceOrb 360 is, but mine needs a joystick port, and it's been years since you could get a computer with one.
Huzzah! We made it! This was probably one of the closer ones I've seen on kickstarter.
I tried to add the "safety in numbers" pledge at 4:59 (I had to pull over from bad traffic), I hit the confirm button, and it seemed to do it, but it didn't go. I guess they are offering the same packages and stretch goals through the website pledges. If we want the Torch KS, keep spreading the word.
@Volumetricsteve: the joystick of choice is the old MS Sidewinder 3D pro if you have one and a Grendel-designed USB converter, or the Logitech Extreme 3D Pro if not. http://gaming.logitech.com/en-us/product/extreme-3d-pro-joystick
Hey it's the descent team. They made their goal. :)
That was fun. Now what to back?
Congrats Wingman and everyone else at Descendent Studios. Go make a rocking game and remind us all of the power of Descent :)
@Peter, I know. Any port to consoles will come from the loyalty of Descent fans and the success of the PC release sales. I just caught wind of this kickstarter project today, believe it or not, I dropped my little donation ASAP and the project made it. And I had my doubts at the start of my shift -- but it went from 539,000 to 600,000 in about nine hours! Believe!
You mean I get to dig my Space Orb 360 out of the dust bin??? :D
@Stealmod Yeah I'd love to see Descent on XB1. The FAQ says they don't have any plans for a console version though :-/
Congratulations! Will you support razyr hydra for motion control btw? And hey great job! Excited you did it!
All this talk of joysticks and such... where are the console users here? XBox and PSN users, step forward and be counted, to give this team an idea how much money came from us. The Playstation version was fantastic, and this can easily translate to a 10+ button controller in the future. I know the PC version has to do well first for that to happen, and it more than likely will.
Congrats Wingman and Team! Looking forward to seeing what Descendent can do.
@Everyone thanks !
Bah, earlier I meant to type "official" trailer. MY KINGDOM FOR AN EDIT BUTTON, KICKSTARTER!
Congratulations for the Kickoff. My son & I are gamers and Descent 2 is what he cut his gaming chops. Years later and I will give him gift that will drop his face. Ahhh to Strafe, Snipe, and Chord (mayhaps) again. So stoked and happy to support!
Congrats Descendent! You had me worried there for a second but I'm glad the community pulled it off :) TO THE DESCENT MOBILE
Rather, to ease the anticipation. :)
Congratulations on making it over the finish line! And now that I've seen the launch trailer, I am very excited to see this in action. In fact, I think I may try to replay the original Descent games while I'm waiting, just to build the anticipation.
Congrats Descendent! You had me really worried there but I'm glad the community pulled it off in the end :) TO THE DESCENT MOBILE!
Congrats to the team!
