Have a question?
Just a quick note to say thank you again! With the exception of some PLA which it doesn't like, our Deltamaker continues to operate beautifully - very reliable! We appreciate the periodic software updates too - certainly one of the best Kickstarter rewards ever!
Hi Albert, have you received your printer yet? I am holding back payment till you get yours.
Hello Creator, I have already paid you USD450 shipping charge to Singapore through paypal, kindly advise as to when would you ship my 3d printer?
Hello creator. I am still not received any alternative shipping method from you since our last discussion on august. If you can‘t find any, at least give me a reply.
Received my Deltamaker three days ago in perfect condition. I've been printing almost continuously since. Lots of fun things and some useful objects as well. The longest print took 20 hours and completed without any problem. I must say, it did work right out of the box. Thanks for a well made machine. It was worth the wait.
Received mine, went through the setup and was printing in no time. The auto bed mapping makes all the difference.
been using it a week - and still thrilled! the auto bed mapping and software make it such a pleasure to use over my other 3d printer (1st generation reprap, about 4 years old! and always needing tweaks and adjustments) -- this is brilliant and the quality of the prints is amazing. im just using PLA but its really nice. thanks again!
"Early Adopter" received in great condition last week here in Canada - super machine! Hoping to see heated platform for ABS availability before year end.
Wonderful device arrived in Palo Alto, CA and is getting lots of oohs and aahs from colleagues who don't notice the Cartesian 3D printers anymore.
Great news on update #33. Well done and thank you for the progress update.
i just received mine! unpacked as described and was up and running within 10 minutes - wow it is an incredibly beautiful and well designed machine! a lot sturdier and imposing that i first thought it would be.
i am absolutely thrilled!
(btw : i am in australia, and it was sent via dhl, i also had to pay 250aud in taxes to receive, but i dont mind now that i have it!)
THANKYOU DELTAMAKER! :)
For those who need carbon fibre rods as an upgrade, this might be a good place to get them. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1861436648/griffin-pro-3d-printers/comments
Look at the awesome heated beds here: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1784037324/bi-v20-a-self-replicating-high-precision-3d-printe/posts/932691
But they are using plastic joins and plastic carriages... Wonder what would be the wear and tear...
Would like to see an update. It has been over two months since your last update of May 20, 2014. It would also be nice to know how many of the 109 DeltaMakers have been shipped.
This Question has been asked on April 28, and yet to be answered.
Patiently awaiting delivery.
I'm sorry I did not mention this any earlier: I got mine shipped internationally (Germany) about three weeks ago. As you can imagine, I was too busy playing around with it since, to even think of commenting about it her.
Taxes were a blow, but that was to be expected. When I got it, though, it ran pretty well right out of the box. I had a bit of a learning curve, made minor adjustments, but am getting reliable prints fom it all the time. I'd still like the headted bed before winter, though. Is there any progress on that side, or will I have to make my own?
woohoo! iv been contacted to pay for the international shipping and its coming next week! thanks! :) [australian address]
Can we have international shipment updates. I'm in the UK and you are not replying to my requests for an update. You still in business??????????
What is the status of my printer?
How is the state of the company? Have not heard much news from you guys.
cant wait to get it! - hope its soon! iv made a space for it on my bench and everything :)
im getting really anxious about this, its been a long time others have their printers and my backer level said "early adopter" and "you are among the first to take delivery" and "Your DeltaMaker will be produced with the earliest run of production printers" ...
it never said "unless your not in the united states, then you get pushed to the end of the list" which is what is sort of happening here isn't it ? :(
Really keen to know when shipments to UK might start. Sounds like things are progressing well now and there are lots of happy backers. Looking forward to joining in the fun too soon I hope! Have a good vacation and looking forward to hearing back from you.
@Jason, good point about this being "vacation season". We have started contacting our backers prior to shipping their printers, to ensure they are available to receive the delivery.
@Paul, international shipments have begun, and we will be sending out payment instructions for our international backers over the next few weeks.
Other news: I will be out of the office this week, and not be able to respond to email until the following week. Our customer support team is available, so please feel free to contact firstname.lastname@example.org with any urgent issues. Our manufacturing team is also working this week, and making great progress. When I'm back in the office, I will prepare a delivery schedule to help you estimate when to expect your DeltaMaker. We are on track to ship our remaining Kickstarter rewards before the end of the summer -- more details to follow.
My printer shipped. Of course, it would ship immediately after I set off on a 3 week vacation. Good thing I had neighbors checking on the house. Anyway, I'm back now and have unboxed it and it looks pretty much like I expected, a nice and solid device. I have not gone through the setup process, yet. More comments to come once I print a thing.
thanks. i'm eagerly anticipating playing with it!
I've given up on this as it's been way too long to start International shipping. Email and message sent for a refund...
Just arrive yesterday, tomorrow will be a busy day unpacking and running the printer!!!
When will the international sipments start?
I still to wait mine!!!!! I'm from Iowa.
Steve, Greg, Salty: International shipments are progressing.
Jason: Thanks for posting the link to our group. All backers should have access to this private group. If anyone is unable to get in, please send us a message.
One more thing... We have installed a DropCam at our office. If you're interested, you are welcome to watch a live stream of some DeltaMakers conducting their burn-in testing. The link to our public camera is:
Still waiting on Canadian shipping of the Early Adopter :(
It is a private group, but the link is: https://groups.google.com/forum/#!forum/deltamakers
Since it was mentioned here, I just searched Google Groups for a DeltaMaker Group, but couldn't find it. (That said, I am NOT a newbie, I run more than one Google groups myself!) There are a lot of comments on Delta Maker to be found on other Google groups, but there is no DeltaMaker Group to be identified as such. I mean one would expect it to be named something like "DeltaMaker" or the like, wouldn't one?
Please post the group's URL here and include it in an update for everyone to see and click, it can't be that hard and would prevent some frustration on the backer's side.
me too, still waiting for international :(
Any updates for international shipping? It's been almost a month since the last comment here by DeltaMaker.... Are you even shipping printers? What's happening?
Just printed my first object (the pre-loaded calibration block) and am really happy with the DeltaMaker! The UPS tracking was a great surprise, with an email confirmation of package sent and package delivered. This machine is very easy to use. The octoprint interface is very nice as well. This thing is so tall and awesome looking, and starting it up and hearing it run was just unreal! Like a mini terminator. I would compare the volume level to an inkjet printer on steroids. Not super loud but sounds just like an inkjet.
For those keeping score at home, my credit card dispute was finalized recently, and the money is officially mine now.
Given how things are going, I think this was for the best.
I would like an invite to the google group as well. I can't seem to find it when I search on my own, I am not familiar with google other than its search engine.
Come on, guys. It's simple question:
How many printers have you shipped to date?
@Eric, @Mark, we've made a lot of progress in the past couple of weeks -- I'll be posting another Kickstarter Update soon. To receive more frequent updates, we are encouraging our backers to migrate over to our DeltaMaker Google Group -- a community of DeltaMaker users is beginning to form over there. I'll make sure that everyone has been invited to the group.
I wish you all the best and hope the
DM guys come through on all their promises. I decided to take a loss and sell mine on eBay because of the lack of communication. Not willing to chance it with DM for such an investment, especially if I would have ever need tech support or repairs. I decided to go with SeeMeCNC and their Rostock Max V2 kit. What sold me was that I called them and spoke to the founder on the second ring. Hopefully the DM guys wake up and start communicating.
the last one was almost 2 months ago...
DM: Please give us a straight answer to this question:
How many printers have you shipped to date?
any news regarding shipping dates ?
"Your DeltaMaker will be produced with the earliest run of production "
how are others receiving theirs if i am supposed to be in the EARLIEST run ? :(
What about USA backers are you full fill the orders? Because still waiting mine!!!!
@Matt, thanks for posting a DeltaMaker unboxing. Your blog looks good...
@Paul, we had a shipping damage issue last month which caused us to postpone international shipments while we investigated it. We hope to begin our international shipments this week, starting with our Canadian backers. Based on what we learn by the Canadian shipments, we will be better able to forecast when overseas shipments will begin.
@Jason, our goal is for your DeltaMaker to work great, right out of the box, but I appreciate your willingness to make adjustments/fixes, if necessary. We will be posting instructions for basic repairs, such as unclogging the nozzle, etc. Regarding our shipping estimates, I will take a stab and include it in our next update.
@Matt Gorton, I can't wait until I can say the same thing. Well, I can wait, I have been waiting, but you get what I mean.
@Bob, could you, at this point and knowing what you know now, take a stab at estimating when each pledge level reward will be fulfilled?
I can't speak for others, but I for one am far more likely to do guided work to adjust/fix the printer rather than send it back for you to do it, if that affects when you could send me one.
I am an international backer, are there any updates on the sipping dates and pricing?
Hey fellow backers, I received my printer and put up a blog post with the unboxing. It is a very nice machine. http://www.printedsolid.com/deltamaker/
