I'm a new backer, and decided to do it just for trying to support Android. I'll admit that I'll be watching this very carefully on Feb 15. I hope you guys make it, since I do enjoy playing Small World, and would love to see it on my setup :)

Yes, we'd be ok with that kind of fallout. We'd much rather see people who want an Android tablet step up and pledge now, as it will go a long way toward making sure this stretch goal happen. We're ok with whatever outcome will happen.

I have an Andriod phone and would consider an Android tablet. You recommend for someone like me to pledge now and then if it doesn't get to $300K to back out. So this means it's possible to meet the goal (get above $190K) but look like it's not going to hit $300K and have all the Android backers drop out, dropping the value back below the $190K mark. Are you guys prepared for that kind of fallout?

aww. Yea i hoping it would have a zoom in zoom out feature i don't mind scrolling forever but i don't own a android tablet just a phone. :(

This is what I was hoping for! I have increased my pledge. Here's hoping we make it!

Depends on your phone, really. I have a Galaxy Nexus whose resolution is 1280x720 and it will just miss the cut; there are similar-sized phones and slightly larger "phablets" out there that are 1920x1080.

You could make a version of the game that zoomed in and out of the map. Iconize all the tiles and special qualities of a space so everything but a pile of race tokens would be individual icons and the race tokens would be a symbol and a number in the appropriate color box. Maybe have a button that would show/hide player stats. With a setup like that you could make it work on smaller screens, but it might be a lot of work to make it look good and run smoothly. Is it worth the developer time and effort to support those devices, especially with the ICS requirement?

I would like it if they lowered the minimum to 1024x720, though. ;)

I'm sure I'm the only one, but I'd like to see this land on Xbox Live Arcade like Ticket to Ride 5 years ago...

Matt, the existing SW app on iOS is tablet only, and I imagine it would be nigh impossible to present the map, usably, at phone resolutions.

I would like to see more table top games in general ported to android and internet PC. I like playing Ticket to Ride online with friends.

seriously hoping for the android version.
Is there a possibility for it to come out even if the Kickstarter doesn't reach 300,000

Will the android version be able to scale down and play on phones or will it be tablet only?
