About this project
I am going to make the most beautiful graphic novel ever published. Every single panel in the book will be a large fine art painting. By the time I am finished I will have painted around a thousand paintings. As chapters are completed, they will be available to view online. When all the paintings are finished the book will be laid out into the pages of the book and published. The original paintings will then be shown at a gallery exhibit.
The story will be an original science fiction mystery with Nikola Tesla as the main character. It will be set in a steam punk alternate history.
The majority of the money donated will go to the creation of the paintings. I will need to rent studio space, hire models, have costumes made, and purchase the materials for all of the one thousand paintings that will be completed for this graphic novel. After all of the paintings are finished, and the book has been digitally laid out, the rest of the funding will go towards the publishing and distribution of the graphic novel.
A lot of time has gone into the research and writing for this book. Even more time will be spent creating it. As this is NOT a "fund my life" project, I am not asking you to donate money so that I can take time off to paint. The amount of money that I am asking for is the bare minimum that I need to pay for materials. So, any money donated that exceeds my funding goal allows me to put more time into this project and it will be finished sooner!
