The Grand Finale of The First "New World" Kickstarter Campaign!

Posted by Dave Kerzner (Creator)

As we ship out the last of the Kickstarter rewards this week, which are the box sets, signed keys and the various customized items, I'm looking back on the campaign with a lot of pride. WE DID IT! You were all there from the beginning and saw how this evolved from an intention to an achievement! From the writing process to doing the sessions to the mixing, the car tests, the mastering, the release all the way to rave reviews and awards! I hope that you feel part of that success with me and my wonderful group of music collaborators. I will always remember the people who were there from the very beginning. That's you and I cannot thank you enough for getting behind my first Kickstarter campaign "crowd funding project". It's proven to be a viable way for independent albums to be made promoting artistic freedom and more.

There's so much related New World news that I am going to have to catch up and start getting everything onto my web site which, if you haven't signed up for the email list yet, please do so you can be in on the latest scoop and various bonuses like a free new song I'll be giving away and more. There's also an interactive fun Facebook Group you are invited to join if you want more "up to date" interaction like we've had through this "Backers Backstage Blog" on Kickstarter (which i will still use to reach you but just not as often now that the campaign is coming to a close). I know many of you are already there because I've seen a lot of great photos of your "New World" CDs and laminated backstage passes on display! Really cool to see! That Facebook group is here:

Join me on Twitter too as there's some fun stuff happening interacting with members of Yes and Marillion like Geoff Downes and Pete Trewavas who both retweeted my news about the Dave Kerzner Band being added to Cruise To The Edge! We'll be joining Yes, Marillion, Alan Holdsworth, Three Friends, Saga, Spocks Beard and other great Prog Rock bands on a cruise that ships out of Miami November 15th-19th. We'll be performing songs from "New World" with musicians who have played with Yes, Pink Floyd and... I have a few surprises as well.

I've got a busy day with Allen today and all this week. There are a lot of shipments to make and still some custom songs and interactive rewards to fulfill plus a few backers don't have their addresses with us so Allen and I will be contacting them to hopefully straighten that out. There are still upgrades to take care of so bear with me. The upgrades to higher tier rewards will be offered for the rest of this month and even in the next Kickstarter campaign for the videos which is coming up.

Here's an audio preview of what the 4th Bonus Disc sounds like from the $125 rewards and up box sets. It includes alternate "half unplugged" and demo versions of the songs.

Big Thanks From Squids!

Thank you so much for your patience, kindness and support! If you haven't received your reward yet you will soon and if you have any issues you know you can email me davesquidskerzner (at) gmail (dot) com or to my shipping manager Allen Mackenroth allen (at) esoundz (dot) com from and (the home of my record label "RecPlay Inc." in Sunrise, Florida where everything ships out from world-wide). Have a great day! - Squids

PS. Over the coming two months I'll be in England working with Mantra Vega on a new album of original music co-written with Heather Findlay. I'll also be doing a few other interesting things I can talk about later. We've already started working on music videos and I'm revving up a brand new Kickstarter campaign to fund a DVD with all sorts of interesting content, both live and studio, plus more so stay tuned!
