We developed Gridiron Heroes to address a void in today's social gaming scene. There's been nothing for the American football fan. Gridiron Heroes will change that, utilizing Facebook as the platform for the ultimate head-to-head competition in American Football GM-style Simulation.**
In Gridiron Heroes, you take total control of your own football franchise from its inception: giving it a name, choosing your team colors, and designing your team logo. You're in charge of everything—from training your players and developing strategy and tactics, to managing your roster and even buying and selling players in the free agent market. Once you've built up your own dream team, you can join in a league and jump right into the action. We've designed the system to group Facebook friends automatically, so you won't have to worry about finding them yourself—you'll always be placed in the same league as your friends, when possible.
It's not just the team itself you're managing; you also have to pay careful attention to your team's arena and infrastructure, including the stadium itself, the training facilities, and so on, as these factors can impact each game you play. For example, a larger stadium can hold more fans, which gives your players a morale boost and earns you more ticket money.
One full season of Gridiron Heroes lasts 28 days, with every team playing one league game every day—and for every game, you can watch a live simulation (for now**). At the end of the season, the top four teams qualify for the next season's Derby, and the top seven teams progress to the next level. In order to win matches,you need to have top-tier players on your team—either by acquiring them from the market, or by bringing them up yourself.
Gridiron Heroes will be among the most comprehensive and engaging sports sims on the market today—and, as you'll soon discover, it's also one of the most fun.
For all you football fanatics out there; ever feel like you're being railroaded into a plethora of complex play-calling? Sick of football games that claim they are 'all about simplicity and gameplay' then end up giving you four hundred decisions exactly at the same?
We share your pain! So instead of waiting for a gaming giant to live up to their promises, we went ahead and recreated a classic where you get to have your cake and eat it too. And we're almost done with it - we just need your help!There are a few twists that come with this recreation! You will now have defensive formations, pre-snap audibles and even the wildcat formation at your finger-tips. Perfect your strategy and coach your team to the championship!

=Gameplay In Detail=
You manage your franchise and take them head to head-to-head in a coaching simulation. How you setup your strategy affects how the AI will react against another user's team. Want to throw Hail Marys every play? It's on you! Love to blitz? Why not!
Future updates will allow full-on live man vs man, head-to-head multiplayer play!
=Offense In Detail=
You have total control. Your offense still has it's high-octane, arcade-style scoring ability. You can opt to control it to the next level, it's your choice.
You have 10 plays to choose from your playbook per game. TEN. You won't have 927656 active plays like 'other' football games out there.

=Defense In Detail=
The ever important all-out blitz still exists. -Don't worry. You just now have more control of how your players react and how to deter an offensive juggernaut. You can use the following formations:

- Cover 1 - Zone - one deep & zone
- Cover 2 - Man - two deep & man to man

- Cover 4 - Zone - four deep & soft underneath coverage
Keep it super simple with a base defense or dial in your strategy and shut down the field!
=Player Attributes In Detail=
Each player and position have their own set of attributes. These attributes increase over time making your player's rating rise.
- AGL - Agility
- ACC - Acceleration
- SPD - Speed
- TGH - Toughness
- AWA - Awareness
- THP - Throw Power
- THA - Throw Accuracy
- THC - Throw Control
- FTW - Footwork (FTW?)
- CLC - Clutch
Attributes are increased by game experience, training and optional upgrades.

Q: What happens if you go over the goal?
A: The extra money will be put back into the game and it's expansion. Goal Numero Uno is to progress immediately into live p2p play.
Q: When can we expect the release?
A: We’re aiming to start beta-testing with our Kickstarter backers in April of 2012. We’ll give the project as much time as needed to ensure the it meets our and everyone's standards!
