May update: production/shipping
Another update from Dato headquarters. A lot has happened the last few weeks. Most notably: the first backers are receiving their long awaited Dato DUO's! We will tell a bit more about the shipping/production further down in this update.
Superbooth and MEFF already seem long ago. It was a great chance to meet fellow synthesizer makers and musicians and even a programmer who kindly helped us fix a software bug on the spot – thanks Valter! It was also nice to see the DUO as part of the Good Vibrations exhibition on synth history at the Musikinstrumenten-Museum Berlin.
After returning from Germany and Italy we went back to full-time production. The first Dato DUO's were sent to Kickstarter backers last week and we will keep sending more out every day. Transport to the parcel point happens in traditional Dutch fashion:
We will be sending the early bird DUO's first. They are sent via DHL, but in some cases your local postal service will deliver the package. After you have received an email with tracking code, the package may take about a week to arrive if you are within Europe, and two or three weeks if you are further away.
If you have received yours, please let us know about it in the comments.
In other news: we were kindly invited by Kickstarter to set up a booth at Sonar+D music/creativity/technology festival in Barcelona. We are proud that they have chosen our campaign to showcase the power of their crowdfunding platform. Please come say hi if you're in Barcelona between June 14 and 17.
