Hell's little acre...
"I've found it. They sing to me from within but the gates remain locked. From the blood of the innocent and the bones of the dead I'll forge the key."
There is so much mystery and drama in the Welsh Valleys and the Brecon Beacons. When conditions are just so, when the mist hangs in such a way that paths dissolve, the valleys breathe and mountains sway, feelings of awe, dread, wonder and terror can consume a person.
Bewitched since a child by this dreamlike landscape I delved into its rich history and mythology. I discovered countless stories of horror and loss, of heroism and great sacrifice, of community and love, of murder and bloodshed. There's been so much loss of life in these mountains. So much blood spilled on this land. What if the land remembered?
What if all that blood-soaked history were to manifest itself in a place? A place that is shrouded in mist and rooted in death. A place that can only be found by the chosen - those tied by ancestry to its unspeakable beginnings - the damned.
We want to take you there. We want to open three windows to the lives of the souls who exist in that place. This is the campaign to open the second.
Using the stunning backdrop of the South Wales countryside and merging history and mythology, we aim to create the next chapter in our noir horror triplet, designed to wet appetites for a much bigger future project. One that, if you wish to join us on our journey, you can be part of.
Come with us. Join our dark pilgrimage to Black River Meadow.

Risks and challenges
Actor/writer Gareth David-Lloyd, famous for portraying Ianto Jones in Sci-Fi hits Torchwood and Dr. Who, has joined forces with Twisted Showcase web anthology creator Robin Bell to create Dark Valley Productions and bring the world of Black River Meadow to life.
In a small but ambitious trilogy they hope to share a glimpse of a world that will one day be explored as a full length television drama.
With one episode already funded, completed and live, a full cast and crew assembled and years of experience in creating TV and web drama they are confident in their ability to complete the trilogy and realise their dark dream.
The project has been budgeted logically taking into account pre and post production costs as well as all reward offers to supporters.
From the Creators:
So here we are poised and ready for our next chapter!
Our second instalment promises to answer some of the questions raised in Episode One but also ask a whole bunch of new ones.
There are more locations (interior and exterior), more special effects, more aerial shots and of course more moments of nail-biting horror! This means the number of risks and challenges is greater but after the successful experience on the first episode we feel we are still working within our means.
Of course there are always learning curves and we have been paying great attention to the things that can be done better this time around. Not only within the production but in our relationship with our backers. There will be far less radio silence this time, more pictures and updates from post production and the reward packaging will be far more secure!!
We have pretty much the same team and we are looking to shoot this coming spring in West Wales and the Brecon Beacons.
We hope that the success of Episode One has proven that we are serious storytellers and that our backers support is not only greatly appreciated but utilised as effectively as possible.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
