IRON CITY CHRONICLES is a feature film project told through a collection of short film chapters. Each story is about Alex Calibourne, a cybernetically enhanced ex-cop now working as a private detective. We have two of the chapters completely finished, and are ready for production on our third and final chapter. We already have costumes, locations, props, and most of our cast. We just need the funds to finish! If we surpass our target goal, we even have a Prologue written and ready to film!
Sandy Collora gives his two cents on supporting your fellow artists.
Sandy also has some prints for the project and a cool redesign of the Iron Detective look! He is the director of Batman: Dead End!
To see the proofs of concept, for a limited time, we have the films listed below.
CHAPTER 1: SENTINEL
CHAPTER 2: BITTER HEART
CHAPTER 3: LADY OF THE BINARY SEA

A Game of Thrones Producer saw our work and its potential. We are at the 1:05 mark listed as "Cinematic.".
Who am I?
My name is Jason Turner. I'm an actor, writer, and director. I'm a child of the 80's, and I've enjoyed the fantastic films from that decade. Some of my favorite films include Excalibur, The Empire Strikes Back, Robocop, The Terminator, and my all time favorite film, Blade Runner.
I decided at a young age that I wanted to tell fantastic stories and make my own films. In 1996, I created a character named The Iron Detective.
Over the next 20 years, I would invest around $20,000 of my own funds into The Iron Detective. I built costumes, drew storyboards, and commissioned custom props, sound FX, and music to bring this world to life. After many years of sharing the load with family and close friends, it's time to open the door to the support of a larger community. That's why I'm starting this campaign.
Fundbeam did a cool write up on this campaign!
Some really special perks will unlock as we progress through the campaign.
I've tried other avenues of getting funding, including $20,000 from a contest. Alas, we were in the top 10 but did not make the cut.
After 20 years, I feel I have taken this project as far as I can on my own. This year at Planet Comicon I had a test screening of two completed short films, SENTINEL and BITTER HEART. After some really positive feedback, I feel it's time to expand this world. With SENTINEL and BITTER HEART, we have two completed chapters of a three part feature film. Now we need to raise funds to finish our final chapter. That's where you can help!
We have some really cool perks for you to enjoy! Take a look on the right hand side of this page and see if there's one you like. You can even be part of the film! It might be a clue, or a suspect name, but we want you to be involved!
If you don't have a lot to give, that's fine! You can do a lower level perk, get on our mailing list, and follow our progress. More importantly, you can spread the word! Sharing is a form of currency and we need all the help we can get! We've reached out to people from Los Angeles, New York, and even London, but now we need you to share this with your friends and family.
SO, WHY KICKSTARTER?
Kickstarter allows freedom; it gives us flexibility. By funding a project on Kickstarter, we can engage with our backers and have them be a part of the process. We can collaborate and get the right people interested.
Our initial goal is only $11,992 but if we overfund, we have some stretch goals already planned out. Naturally, we'll be thrilled if we simply reach our goal but we would love to blow that goal out of the water and push ahead with some new and exciting additions to the production!
We have some props that need some tender loving care, and one of them is a full size suit donated by the Iron Brothers of Topeka. They are a very generous and talented team who gave the production team a suit, but it will need to be redesigned and rebuilt.

In fact, I actually pitched my idea in Los Angeles and they told me I had a $60 million dollar movie. Even an independent film budget is usually around $11 million.
Now, does $11,992 really sound that high?
We've had one hell of a journey, but we're just getting started!
THANK YOU SO MUCH!

Risks and challenges
The risk and challenges are simple. If we do not at least meet our initial goal, we cannot make this film. We expect to encounter some barriers, but we can overcome them as a team. We have overcome so many obstacles in the past, we are ready to push forward through new ones.
Making a film is an incredibly complex and challenging endeavor. We understand the filmmaking process and have developed a realistic schedule, scope of work, and budget for the project.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
