About this project
LESS THAN 24 Hours to go!! Last chance to join in and get those rewards!!...
Dark Roar is a big cat adventure film, based on true events.
There have been sightings and encounters with big cats in the English countryside for years now. Where have they come from? How do they survive? Are they breeding !? What's the truth behind it all?
My inspiration for the film was reading an newspaper article about a sighting of a cat in the woods around Brighton - it attacked a dog and scared it’s owner witless! This is the starting point of our film… two boys then decide to go on a trip to the woods and investigate…
This is a full length feature film aimed at children, and has some scary/horror elements, so in the US it would probably receive a PG-13 rating and in the UK a certificate 12A.
This project is different!! It's a small budget independent children's film and that makes it unusual. But being different is something to be celebrated, and there is also a tremendous amount of talent involved. From the actors (see updates), producer, director, cinematographer, composers... it's all there.
WE'VE HIT OUR TARGET!!! - Big Thank You to everyone who has pledged. We really do appreciate it. Now let's go on and make a really decent film - 5th July 2012

Movie Poster - By Paul Cemmick
A hand-painted design by Brighton artist Mr Cemmick. Thank you Paul. If you would like to own a limited edition print see the rewards section.
How can I help this movie be made?
We have all put our own money in. No one is taking a salary. $1000 seems pretty small, and of course for a feature film like this it is. We'd love to go over our target as every penny would be used to add value on screen.
WE NEED YOUR HELP!!
- Spread the word – It’s only going to work if you tell as many people as you can. Email your friends, post it up on FACEBOOK, send a telegram to your grandma – do what you have to do.
- Pledge whatever you can. We REALLY do appreciate it. We believe wholeheartedly in following your dreams, and this is what we’re doing.
- After you pledge, this really becomes your film – you backed it, and you helped make it.
- The more you pledge, the greater your reward. There is a varied list of rewards available.
Please remember, your credit or debit card is only charged if and when we hit the target. And then you are only charged what you have pledged. You will receive your rewards, and we get to make the film. Everybody’s laughing!
If we miss our goal your card will not be charged. You won’t get your rewards, and the film does not get made. Boooo, hiss!
We'll be posting regular updates to this project. If you have any questions please do contact me. Thanks for your support.
