Once Bitten Twice Dead is a new first-person action game set in an open world with a serious zombie problem! Fight the undead along with and chat to a maximum of 100 other players simultaneously. Oh, and players can join and play games across most of our supported platforms.
Pick one of fifteen different characters, each with their own specific skill set, and fight the good fight against the rising undead by using tons of unique weapons! Craft useful items to prepare yourself for the onslaught, but don’t get too cocky or careless because you better make sure to have your camp built by nightfall before the infested horde comes back, or you may not survive the night with all of your body parts intact! Fast and furious, yet quirky and fun, Once Bitten Twice Dead combines all of your favorite game elements – rot-munchers, night survival, crafting, open world play, deadly weapons, multiple game modes and more into a rip-roaring, zombie-stomping good time!
• A cartoon art style that really accentuates the eyes of that undead cannibal about to eat your brains
• Explore a beautiful and deadly open world, complete with day and night cycles! (What goes bump in the night will probably gnaw your face off).
• Multiple zombie types to keep you on your toes!
• 15 unique characters to pick from, each with their own skill set and a serious distrust of anything that shuffles around and/or eats human flesh.
• 50+ weapons and 100+ craft-able items to help you prepare to combat the horde! (Or at least look cool for screenshots of your demise).
• Online and offline play modes so that you can always get your survival on.
• Play online with up to 100 other people simultaneously across multiple platforms – Nobody likes to do the zombie stomp alone, so get some friends and bash the undead to, well, death...again. (PC, Mac an Linux)
• Infected Mode - Play the game as the muncher: Crawl, jump and swipe your way across the land, stopping players at all cost.
• Mod support! This game will feature full mod support for those who like to get a little crazy!
• Custom skins
• Over 50 different zombie types: From Police, to Wartime Soldiers, Average Joes, Firemen, Company Men, Doctors, and much more!
• Constant updates and game add-ons to keep this game fresh!
• No subscriptions! Don’t let them win!
• Sense of humor that revolves around zombies (and MAYBE fart jokes. No, scratch that. DEFINITELY on fart jokes).
Infected mode is a jump in/jump out mode where players spawn as one of the zombies floating around the world, getting a chance to witness the conflict through the eyes of the undead. If your friends are playing, then jump into the game as a zombie and mess with their heads. Stumble along with the zombies and walk beside the undead, slowly making your way towards your prey!
Take the fight to the zombies with your buddies, in offline or online modes. Each game can handle up to 100 players, but with better funding we can extend that to a greater limit! The games matchmaking is fast and simple, with game hosting being a breeze. The more the merrier!
Play with friends or with strangers - quickly join a match with a click or carefully search through the list of games currently being played to find the one that is right for you. And if online is not your thing you can play locally, exploring the world in split screen! The choice is yours. We try not to limit how players can enjoy the game's multiplayer.
Enjoy the depth the game has to offer thanks to the skills of each class in
your party: perhaps one player can focus on health items and crafting while
another takes the fight to the munchers with a high damage output. Some classes
are better at crafting than others, and some can take less damage, making them
the perfect tank to lure the munchers away from the group as they prepare an
onslaught. Mix and match the classes and you’ll enjoy a fresh experience every
time you play!
As this project progresses further, we will devise some new and exciting ways
to play multiplayer, and these updates and additional content will be made
available absolutely at no cost for those that own the game!
Ah, good old Oculus Rift. We definitely like what Oculus VR is doing with their head-mounted virtual reality display, and we’d love to make Once Bitten, Twice Dead compatible with Oculus Rift… and all we need is for you to help take us to our goal!
That’s right: if we can make it to our main goal we’ll add Oculus Rift support for Once Bitten, Twice Dead! The game would definitely look great in the Oculus Rift OLED screens, and once we’re funded we’ll start to work hard on making this happen. All we need is for you to spread the word about Once Bitten, Twice Dead, and to back us, of course!
The T-shirt comes in many sizes to fit all, Each T-shirt will showcase a highly detailed print design that does not fade on sunlight and that is safe to wash multiple times. We hate crappy T-shirts, which is why we’ll give you a quality T to thank you for your support.
The art book we offer is available both in digital and physical form. It includes concept art used for creating the game as well as several elements that (probably) won’t make the cut – as is always the case when making a game! It will also include information about the universe of Once Bitten, Twice Dead, as well as the backstory of how things came to be. We’ll also sign the art book (unless you don’t want us to!)
We’re fans of the big N, and we want to bring Once Bitten, Twice Dead to the Nintendo Wii U in order to expand on the experience while taking advantage of all the possibilities presented to us by the Wii U GamePad.
Off-TV gaming is a given so that you can play the game either on your TV or in the palms of your hands. We also want to make it easier to access your inventory, map and radar, and you’ll be able to read more about each of the landmarks you reach, right as you reach them (you know, if a muncher isn’t chomping at your neck!). We have many other ideas for the Wii U version of Once Bitten, Twice Dead but they all require extra funding. But we also know that Nintendo fans are starving for an experience like this, which is why if we reach our MAIN GOAL, we’ll release Once Bitten, Twice Dead on the Wii U! That’s right, no need for no pesky stretch goals to get this game to your favorite console.
Ever wanted to have your name on a tombstone? Then have we got a reward for you! Pledge at the corresponding tier and once we’re ready we’ll ask you for the name you want displayed on the tombstone, the 19XX-XXXX you want under your name and, as a bonus, a single line about the way you died.
Want to
stand out from the rest? Now is
your chance! You can pledge to become an NPC in Once Bitten, Twice Dead! We’ll
create a virtual you in the game, forever making you part of the Once Bitten,
Twice Dead universe! You’ll be able to work with the team to create your backstory,
and will also show up in the credits along with your digital you.
All videos below here are done by fans or YouTube users; we add videos found from the web, based one people playing the demo, or even reactions on the game or its features. We keep a close ear out so we know what the community wants.

We want to make Once Bitten, Twice Dead the best experience it can be. We aim to focus on this game 24/7 once funded, and every dollar helps us to make this a better game. The more we raise the bigger the game will become, with more areas, more items, more enemies and more everything. We plan to update Once Bitten, Twice Dead for years so that players can always some something new to try, always taking into consideration the feedback from the community.

Risks and challenges
We are currently in the Pre- Alpha stage of game development. As is always the case with game development, delays might occur but we’ll do our best to keep them to a minimum and, if a delay happens, you can rest assured that it is for the best in order to improve your experience.
