Welcome! A Year and a Day is an anthropomorphic series set in 1940s Britain in the world of Code Name: Hunter. Co-created by Darc and Matt Sowers, A Year and a Day tells the story of how Princess Moraine learned to control her magic and created a treaty with the Fey... as seen through the eyes of Robert Allen.
A Year and a Day is rated PG for some mildly frightening images and characters in peril.
In Issue 1 we're introduced to Robert Allen, Moraine's butler and, unknown to her, bodyguard. When he left the army Allen had dreams of escaping the life his father led. His cousin, Michael Pyrenees, had other plans. When strange things begin occurring, Allen learns that being a butler may not be as dull a life as he'd feared. Meanwhile something's abducting people from local towns, each new moon bringing it closer to London.
The issue is twenty-four pages, full color.
Due to us having limited storage space, we plan on keeping the print runs small. As a result, the print issue will only be available through Kickstarter and at conventions, not through the RCSI Publishing store. If you're interested in a copy, now's a good time to pick one up!
ACHIEVED! At $1,000 we'll add an extra four pages to the issue containing part of the World Guide for A Year and a Day / Code Name: Hunter. These pages will not be available online.
ACHIEVED! At $1,500 we'll add an additional four pages of World Guide to the issue.
ACHIEVED! At $2,000 we'll produce a pin - our first one ever! And the first pin design is... Fred of the Wild Hunt! He'll be hard enamel and a little under two inches wide. Awesome! Here's the design below.
