"Skip Tantrum: Mind Over Matter" is a 20-minute sci-fi/mystery film about Skip Tantrum, a teen who must find his missing crush before he's held accountable for her disappearance.
As rumors of his guilt consume his suburban town, Skip is left only with worsening hallucinations to guide his investigation.
Overcoming resistance from his parents, therapist, and best friend, Skip must fight to exonerate himself and answer once and for all: Is he innocent, or is he as crazy as he looks?
My name is Daniel Nemroff. I’m a filmmaker, visual effects artist, and a senior at NYU Tisch School of the Arts, where I study Film & TV Production, Computer Science, and Mathematics.
At NYU, I've spent the past four years honing my craft, writing and directing short films as I worked my way to this: my capstone final production; A culmination of my time at Tisch.
But I can’t make this film without your help. I hope that you’ll take part in this journey by contributing to this Kickstarter campaign and following along with our regular behind-the-scenes updates.
Below, meet some of the key crew members helping to bring this story to life.
Risks and challenges
As with any ambitious film project, there are certain risks and challenges involved. While we're hoping the weather will cooperate for our outdoor scenes, we're prepared to move certain sections of the film indoors and rearrange our schedule if necessary. Additionally, the film features numerous visual effects which require detailed pre-planning and additional filming in a capture studio. The extra time required to complete these effects will likely be the most significant factor in determining the film's release date.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
