The Wormworld Saga - New Kickstarter Campaign

Dear backers of the Wormworld Saga App,

yesterday we launched a new kickstarter campaign:

As you all did a great job supporting the Wormworld Saga in the last campaign I thought that it would make sense to let you know about that. Any contribution will help!

Have a nice weekend!

The Wormworld Saga App on Android Tablets

Dear backers,

about a month ago Robot Media released the Wormworld Saga App for Android tablets. We had some initial problems with the latest version of the Android operation system but these are resolved. It's now save to invite you to download the Wormworld Saga App from Google play:

To access the special content inside the app, you'll have to provide us your info via this web-form:

We will then send out a promo code to you which will provide access to the special features according to your pledge tier.

Enjoy the app!

The Wormworld Saga App receives Publishing Innovation Award

I just want to drop a quick note for all backers of the Wormworld Saga App. The Wormworld Saga App received the Publishing Innovation Award in the comics/graphic novel app category on the Digital Book World Conference & Expo that was recently held in New York. This is a huge success and I just want to thank you all again for your support and contribution to the project. We truly were able to make a statement with the Wormworld Saga App and the American publishing industry now officially has noticed that.

The Wormworld Saga App launched on iPad!

Welcome to the final Monday Update here on!

Yes, it's done! After 5 months of development, the Wormworld Saga App has finally arrived. I'm not even able to fully comprehend this right at the moment. It's just a weird thing to work towards a certain goal over such a long time and then, just by the matter of a button click, you launch something into the internet and let it run free. I remember this feeling from the launch of the first chapter but I think I'll never get used to it.

But this single click marks the point of an extraordinary achievement. Through your support, a single independent creator was able to lay the groundwork for his future. I have high hopes for the tablet as a platform for comics and graphic novels. And with the announcement of the Amazon Fire a few days ago - a color tablet that will cost only $200 - my hopes have even increased. My hope is to fully refinance my work on the Wormworld Saga through app sales. That way I would stay independent and could make sure that the Wormworld Saga is told the way it's meant to be told. It's still a long way up to this point of course. We launched the app into a universe of apps and it will take some time to get noticed. But the most important requirement for this plan to succeed is met: the app is there and the journey has just begun!

You find the app inside the iTunes App Store by simply performing a search for "Wormworld" or you can use this link here:

Please note, that the app isn't launched worldwide yet. We found a nasty bug that would spoil your experience of the app if you are living in a country where American English, Spanish, German or French is not the standard language. Therefore we only launched in countries where this is the case. All other countries (including UK) will have to wait another few days until a fixed version is approved by apple.

If you should experience the "black screen of death", because you have the app installed but your iPad is not set to one of the four languages, you can fix this by simply going into the settings inside the app and chosing one of the languages available there. The bug currently is that none of these four languages is selected by default and you'll see only a black screen if you open Chapter 1 on an iPad that has a language setting different from the four languages available inside the app.

BTW, you would directly support the success of the app by giving it a rating or writing a review inside the iTunes App Store.

Ok, that's is for now. I still have some work to do on the kickstarter campaign (the top tier backers are still waiting for their watercolors and I received some packages back that didn't reach their destinations) but to clarify these issues I will contact the involved backers directly. This was the last regular Monday Update. I invite you all to follow the further progress of the Wormworld Saga project via my blog or via the news feed inside the Wormworld Saga App.

I will check back here from time to time. The Android version of the app is currently under development and I'll announce the launch here. And I guess there might be other interesting stuff for you backers, too.

Oh, and check out the credits inside the app! You are all there! :)

Man, I hate saying good bye...

Good Bye!

Summer Vacation

It's another Monday update!

Well, and it'll be the last one for the next four weeks because it's summer vacation time and we are going to take little Lucas to see his great-grandparents in Spain for the first time. Immediately after that I'll be hosting the digitalartconvention in Berlin and after that you'll receive regular updates again. I don't think that the app will be released during that time because the programmers just had their summer vacation and there's still some stuff to do. When they finish their work we'll have to wait another two weeks for the App Store to approve the app, so it's very likely that I've already returned from my trip when the app is released.

By the way, I received a few prints back that didn't reach their destination. I'm going to wait if more packages get returned and after my vacation I'm going to contact the individual backers who did not receive their rewards.

And on another note: I just reached the first of my five milestones on my way to finish the final art of Chapter 2. There's a little sneak peek attached for you!

Have some nice summer weeks and see you again in September!
