About this project
Hello fellow readers, Kickstart users, and internet junkies who have found this page while lurking the web. I am your humble host Kevin, here to guide you through exactly what this project is all about.
The basics: Choosing a way to release one's work is a difficult decision indeed. For me it was not an easy one, but still one that I firmly believe in. If the last few years have shown me anything, it is that ebooks are on the rise and self publication is becoming more excepted in the writing world.
Pouring your heart and soul into a novel is one of the greatest accomplishments I have found. Seeing a world unfold in your hands, and sharing it to others is like nothing else I've ever experienced. Self publication allows me full control of my works, and allows it to be unadulterated. It is for this reason that I believe that Kickstarter is the way to release my works to the world.
I not only want to release this novel on ebook, but also as a physical paperback. On my own there would be no way to front the costs of book publication and editing. With Kickstarter I am able to find an audience that will enjoy my works, and can assure that I am able to release the finished product to them.
The story: Necromancer: The corruption revolves around the tale of a young elf named Fayne who is set in the book to take the trial of becoming a Keeper of the Equinox. A defender of nature and of his home town Fen'dril. But during his trials his home town is besieged by a necromatic force and his lover is killed.
Fayne is left with one option, to serve a dark master and become a Necromancer to bring his lover back to life. Although Fayne is a kind and gentle being, the dark arts are a very dangerous path. Using its power is the young Elf's only chance at bringing his love back to life, but puts his soul on the edge of corruption.
