Thank you to everyone who funded this project. We did it! Yoga Joes are now going to be a real toy. For more info about where to get Yoga Joes visit www.brogamats.com
I made Yoga Joes in the spirit of getting more people to try yoga. More unexpected folks are reaping the benefits of yoga today, from professional athletes, to children, to military men and women returning from wartime.
When this idea was birthed over a year ago, I thought - what if yoga could be passed around in a way other than from a yoga class. What if yoga could be transmitted through a toy.
I'm hoping people pass Yoga Joes around as an inexpensive gift to friends and loved ones, who might like to give yoga a shot. Plus, I hope yoga fans display them proudly in their homes, offices, and yoga studios. And I hope kids get to be acquainted with yoga from a young age - celebrating military men and women for their focus and discipline.
And I hope people find them funny as hell.
In order to make Yoga Joes a toy that people can easily afford, I need funding to create a metal mold, so that the figures can be made through plastic injection. This is an expensive upfront cost, and so this idea needs to be supported by a community of yoga fans who believe that it deserves to exist.
Press! People have been talkin.

Meet the Joes
and we unlocked ALL stretch goals:
I made the Yoga Joes kickstarter video with a few friends, and we had the ambitious goal of peacefully releasing a fake dove that really flapped its wings. We modded and painted different plastic flapping bird toys, with white primer and wax paper. But they didn't exactly fly so well!
Risks and challenges
The aim is to have this product available for Christmas, hence the need to have the money in October— in just 30 days. Fortunately I've already gone down the production path and found the appropriate vendors and digital sculptors to prepare the figures for production, and so the last piece of puzzle is the funding.
The funding will cover the following:
• the cost of a family metal mold with a vendor that is acquainted with this project and is standing by
• packaging and production of the first 2,000 Yoga Joes
• Software conversion of the figures to be mold-ready by a digital sculptor who is also acquainted with this project and is standing by
Thank you for your support, and please spread the word through social media and your favorite yoga blogs. If you'd like any images or assets, don't hesitate to email me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
