Fin: A Vibrator for Fingers
394 360 $

Fin is a small, wearable vibrator designed to feel like a part of you, so you can be a part of something amazing.
Unlike most vibrators, Fin is worn between your fingers like a natural extension of your body. It seamlessly adds vibration to foreplay and sex, without spoiling the mood.
Founded in 2014 by two smart women, Dame Products develop our products in-house using intuitive design, safe materials, and rigorous user testing. With these principles in mind, we made Fin small, simple, and powerful, using medical-grade silicone.
Pledge now to save 20% on Fin's retail price ($74.95)!!!!
Watch the following video to learn a little about who we are, and what Fin's all about:
Small & Mighty
Fin was designed to optimize power in the most compact package possible. Fin won’t feel in the way, but you will certainly feel Fin.
Three Speeds
Low, Medium and High. We believe in keeping it simple! Too many modes means too much time finding the one you really want — and too much frustration in turning it off.
Medical-Grade Silicone
Like all our products, Fin is made with medical-grade silicone. The material is USP Class IV, not just "body safe"... whatever that means.
USB Rechargeable
Fin can be recharged for use after use after use! The included USB charging cable lets you charge Fin across the globe.
Quiet
Keep your earplugs on the nightstand. We designed Fin to deliver a lot of power without a lot of commotion.
Fin will eventually retail at $74.95 — pledging to our campaign will get you one at a 20% discount or more!
Make sure to tell your friends and loved ones about Fin. We'd love for these goals to become a reality!
The overwhelming response to that first campaign proved the need for well-engineered products that fit the needs of real people's sex lives. We hope that these principles will bring us the same success with Fin.
Research shows women are four times more likely than men to call recent sex "unpleasurable." We call this the Pleasure Gap, and it's our mission to close it.
For most people with vulvas, physical intimacy is key to arousal, and clitoral stimulation is necessary for orgasm. As a vibrator company, we’re pretty good at stimulating clitorises. But you can’t create intimacy by just pressing a button. We knew we couldn’t reinvent the natural connection people feel when touching each other, so we decided to enhance it.
Alexandra Fine (MA in Sexual Health, Columbia ‘11) and Janet Lieberman (BS in Mechanical Engineering, MIT ‘07) started Dame Products in 2014 to change the sex toy industry from the inside.
Having designed consumer goods and 3D printers at a number of firms, Janet noticed a conspicuous lack of quality in the world of sex toys. Alex's education in clinical psychology and sexual wellness gave her a keen awareness of the disparity in sexual pleasure between women and their partners. Fate brought them together in the NYC startup scene, and they immediately joined forces.
In October 2014, the duo made sex toy history with their first product, Eva — a hands-free vibrator held by the labia during penetrative sex. Headquartered in Brooklyn, NY, Dame Products has enjoyed incredible success. Eva is now available in stores across the globe, and the team has grown beyond its two founders.
Our continuing mission: to design well-engineered sex toys, to heighten intimacy, and to openly empower the sexual experiences of womankind. Supporting us and Fin will help us make better products at better prices.
Learn a little more about Alex and Janet, and their approach to the next generation of toys for sex:
Our whiteboard is full of ideas for great sex toys, but we thought a vibrator that augmented touch would be the best fit as our second product. After launching Eva, we’d heard from some couples that while a hands-free vibrator is great, sometimes they wanted a hands-on experience, too. Vibrators worn on the hand have the potential to be great toys for first-time users, sex toy pros, couples or individuals. However, the market didn't have a standout finger vibrator that balanced quality and ease of use with a reasonable price.
We started by talking to stores and surveying the Dame Products community to learn about the features people look for in a finger vibrator, and how they use them. We tried to come up with as many ways as possible to attach a vibrator to a hand, and used our 3D printers to make sketch prototypes of each concept. We took that research and those prototypes and narrowed down what basic forms met the needs our users were most interested in.
By March 2016, we had selected Fin as the product concept. One of the main tradeoffs we identified was dexterity vs. power. If the product isn’t powerful enough, it isn’t worth using; if you can’t maintain dexterity, your movements don’t feel intuitive. Fin’s shape and placement between the fingers prevented the motor from interfering with testers' natural movements.
By June 2016, we had begun Alpha testing with prototypes integrating months of ergonomic, aesthetic, and engineering development into a single design. By the time the product ships, we will have incorporated feedback from over 100 Alpha and Beta testers into our design.
We always test with women and couples from all different ages and backgrounds. If it doesn’t bring additional value to the sex lives of real people, we don’t put it on the market.
Beta testing is wrapping up, and Janet left for China mid-October to personally oversee tooling and pre-production. Learn more about the challenges that are ahead of us as we bring Fin to market:
Risques et défis
We are an established company with reliable vendors and tested prototypes, so there isn't a ton of risk in backing Fin. Our materials are sourced, and Janet is on the ground in China to oversee the pre-production runs and make sure the start of production goes smoothly.
The only remaining risk to backers is schedule risk. A range of issues can arise in manufacturing something for the first time, and while we're fairly far along, the devil is in the details. If something arises that will take time to fix, we’re always going to choose to take a week or two to figure out how to do it right over shipping a substandard product.
The other risk at this stage is interest in Fin itself. No matter how much research we do, there's no way to know the customer demand for a product until we put it out on the market. We hope that coming to Kickstarter will allow us to validate the need for a stand-out vibrator that enhances touch. If people like you aren't interested, we'll listen!
