A prototype is a preliminary model of something. Projects that offer physical products need to show backers documentation of a working prototype. This gallery features photos, videos, and other visual documentation that will give backers a sense of what’s been accomplished so far and what’s left to do. Though the development process can vary for each project, these are the stages we typically see:
Proof of Concept
Explorations that test ideas and functionality.
Demonstrates the functionality of the final product, but looks different.
Looks like the final product, but is not functional.
Appearance and function match the final product, but is made with different manufacturing methods.
Appearance, function, and manufacturing methods match the final product.
Simple, Magic and Affordable.
Built on groundbreaking ideas.
And ready for yours.
I was designed to make your experience extremely enjoyable, fun and easy to use.
All my electronic components are located and organized in my 3D printed base.
My Special 3-IN-1 Button
As you can see, I only have one button… but a very convenient one.
This Special Button will let you:
Switch the printer ON/OFF
Start a print and Pause and print (A very convenient way to change colors or add a new item in your print.)
My tap tap extruder
My extruder itself is a work of art. It allows you to insert and remove the filament really easily. You won’t have to try to push in/pull out filament for hours!!
How does it work? Tap twice on my bed and the filament will self-travel between the extruder and the nozzle.
My End of Filament Detection
I cleverly detect the filament end. When I’m out of filament, I pause for you to add a new spool and resume. Say goodbye to filament waste and air-printing… Yeaaaah !
My Beautiful and Robust Design
Do not just focus on my beauty, I am also very strong. I have smooth curves and I am 50% 3D printed. I also have a great texture which dresses me perfectly.
I am also very robust and I resist shocks. Made of an entirely 3D printed body weighing over 350 grams, you can tilt me, I will continue to print.
My amazing Print Quality
My print quality is amazing: I'm able to print incredibly consistent layers, from 200 microns up to 100 microns. Our high quality stepper motors allow the NEVA to print up to 80 mm/sec.
And because I see things big, my printing surface is wide: 7 inches diameter (18 cm) and 8 inches height (20cm).
My simple software
I never go out without my accessories. My free slicer (Cura by Dagoma) was conceived and imagined so that a child can use it.
You only need to enter the print quality, fill rate and filament type. The rest of the settings is automatically picked and optimized for you.
Then, insert an SD card and export your Gcode on it. That’s all :)
And with all these awesome skills, I can assure you, we'll have fun together !
Wait! I also come fully assembled, so just take me out of the box... plug & play!
Want to see a full print? Here you go!
It seems I'm the most fantastic and humble delta 3Dprinter. I'm the only one 50% printed... And I'm printed locally... Or I will! And I count on you to do it :) !
I come from a big Family : the Dago'family.
Dagoma was created in 2014 in France by 2 engineers who want to change the world and our way to consume thanks to 3Dprinting.
To answer this strong mission, they first created my sister : the DiscoEasy200 printer. My sister is quiete famous in France : more than 8000 machines have been sold already, making Dagoma Leader in 3D printing in France and number 3 in Europe.
After 2 years, my parents wanted to re-invent the simplicity and use of 3D printers. That's why they created me : the most magic, simple and affordable printer for all!
At the same time, they decided to open a second factory and establish it... in the US in Goleta. And this is the target of this Kickstarter: having enough backers to be able to launch this factory and deliver me to all of you quickly and in a eco-friendly way!
I was designed to entertain young and old alike.
You want it? I print it. Jewelry, toys, figurines, crazy projects, spare parts for your blender or to organize your garage.
Are you a music fan? Print your guitar.
Tell me your hobby and I will print what makes it even more wonderful.
I was also designed for educational purposes.
Whether it's to discover 3D printing and drawing or to develop fun technology projects, schools, universities and students will find a way to use me and learn with me!
I'm not a toy, I'm a real business investment! Both small and large companies will be able to earn money thanks to me ! The first one to prove it? DAGOMA! We've got the biggest 3Dprinter factory: over 500 3D printers printing our new baby sisters almost 24/7. So we want to do the same in California!
What's the gain for you, entrepreneurs and Industries? Time saved on prototyping, small series... You might need me and my siblings to develop your business!
We already have famous Industries working with us, such as Peugeot PSA or Decathlon.
I'm manufactured & 3D printed locally. That's part of my DNA. My new nursery will be in Goleta, California. I want to be made in the USA.
We also have two homes in France: Lille & Bordeaux. I'm already made in France.
... I now want to be manufactured locally, everywhere. Feel free to visit us as soon as you can!
If you need help to understand me, to dredge me, to tame me, you will always have a Dago'teammate ready to answer all your questions. You will never be alone in this incredible adventure!
You have access to a local pre-sale and after sale service !
My parents always taught me to support causes that made sense to me.
So we decided, Dagoma and I, to get involved with e-nable, which allows children with agenesis of the hand to get a hand tailored, printed by a member of the community.
We are also involved locally in arts. We collaborate with local artists to propose you unique editions of our printers and promote links between art and technology.
Here is the result of a collaboration with the French artist Aysar :
Preserving the environment and changing consumption patterns is our very essence. That's why we use the most environmentally friendly products possible.
For example, I am printed in PLA, a plastic made of starch. And my parents recycle all our plastic waste to form new filaments .
Why do I need your help today? Because we need you to be able to start my new nursery: a 10 000 sqft factory, to manufacture and print me locally. Let's add some challenges:
Special thanks to Patrick Calderon from Crowdco for providing us with the PR and Crowdfunding Marketing Expertise.
Risks and challenges
As with any project, we face the challenges of manufacturing.
We not only have a passion for product design, but also have work experience in selling and manufacturing 8 000 3D Printers in Europe.
From design to prototyping, we’ve taken almost all possible obstacles into consideration and found solutions to ensure high quality and fast production (100 3DPrinters per day).
We have decided to build a new big factory in California.
We have suppliers from all four corners of the United States to be well prepared for mass production with quality components.
Our software development will run in parallel with our manufacturing efforts. It already is compatible with both PC and MAC.
We’re ready to build our first mass production in the USA as soon as the campaign ends and will notify backers with a very detailed delivery schedule
Your help at any level brings the NEVA and DAGOMA in USA.
For all backers at ALL levels we will print your name in the entrance of our first US office, so we can thank you every time we pass by.
And of course, we will keep you informed with all the DAGOMA updates.
