We are trying to bring the Dead Armadillo to life! With KickStarter and your help, we will!
Help Raise the Dead Armadillo
Dead Armadillo Craft Brewery in Tulsa is on the verge of distributing its ales in Oklahoma. Oklahoma currently ranks 41st in the nation in breweries per capita, which reflects a drought of craft beers. Some might even describe the beer industry here as a “Dust Bowl.”
We will be launching our first beer, the Amber Ale, into the market on June 1st. While we are going to start out as a contract brewery, we will continue to work to complete the Tulsa based brewery. Investment money has been raised to begin acquiring some of our equipment and leasing an appropriate space, but we still need to raise funds to buy cans and a canning line. So we are here on Kickstarter to raise the Dead Armadillo!
For the past year, we have been working hard to finish our business plan, complete necessary paperwork, and secure capital, not to mention brewing test batches of our beer in Tony’s garage. While we have been working on this idea for several years, in 2012 we took serious steps to bring this brewery to life. Our beer has been served at a number of beer festivals in Tulsa, including Wildbrew, McNellie’s Harvest Festival, and First Draft. We have also donated our beer to several private events. Although we did not expect to begin sharing our beers so soon, the demand was there and the public response has been overwhelmingly positive. Tulsa is ready for another brewery and we are convinced that our beers will benefit the craft beer culture here and throughout the State of Oklahoma.
Please help us raise the Dead Armadillo by supporting our efforts here on Kickstarter. Please share our Kickstarter project with your family, friends, and even strangers on the street. As with all projects on Kickstarter, we do not receive any funding and you will not receive any awards unless we meet our goal.
Your support is greatly appreciated and we believe that the rewards we have offered demonstrate our gratitude as much as possible. We think our swag is pretty cool.
We are setting a stretch goal to raise $20,000 with this campaign. If we reach this goal, we will be able to additionally purchase some other equipment such as walk in coolers and our fork lift.
Thank you for taking the time to check out our Kickstarter project. Like us on Facebook and visit our website (www.deadarmadillobrewery.com). We hope to be able to share our beers with you in the very near future.

Are we going to raise the Dead Armadillo and begin distributing beers to thirsty Okies? Yes, of course. It is a divine mission, of sorts, and we have no other option but to obey the call.
Still, opening a brewery is a complicated affair, requiring permitting, construction, building remediation, equipment, and vendors among other things. Moreover, Oklahoma is one of the most difficult states when it comes to laws and regulations. We believe, however, that we possess the skills and abilities to address these issues and any others that may arise. We have assembled a professional management team and made vital contacts in the industry. Pubs, bars, taverns, and liquor stores are ready for our product and the craft beer market is ready to explode here. We will be distributing beer this year and look forward to sharing it with you. Raise the Dead Armadillo!
