      For those who don't follow the other kickstarter's comments here is a comment from other pencil dice kickstarter by Jolly Blackburn "FYI this production company is looking to press charges against Ken Whitman. They are looking for other 'victims' who are interested in the same thing. Feel free to contact them. https://www.facebook.com/BossDivaZProductionZ/posts/493586187501735…"

    2. James Parker on December 29

      @Philip in the comments of the last update he said "Anyone wishing a refund, please send a request to kenwhitman@kenwhitman.com. Once the pencils ship and I am able to sell the overstock, would be happy to refund you." So you can get a refund only after he fulfills the campaign. Basically don't get your hopes up.

    3. Rastl on December 27

      @Philip - I would say you get your refund when there's pork in the treetops.

    4. Philip Rogers on December 14

      When can we expect a full refund?

    5. Chad Burns on November 14

      That update is pathetic. "Have I contemplated suicide..." Get a grip, grow up, honor your commitment, and finish the project.

      @Benjamin

      No sorry, but backers should absolutely not leave Ken alone.

      If this was anything but kickstarter he would be in jail for fraud at the moment.

      Anyone who cares about getting reimbursed should be attempting to contact him regularly.

      This project has been a failure from the start. We will never see our pencils. Anything he does at this point is nothing more than an attempt to make him feel better about ripping us all off.

      There is no 'ks revolution' to start here. There is only a creator who bit off way more than he could chew, and spent our funds on partying for all we can tell.

      There is no redemption for this project.

      We may have all come together to 'make this happen' but nothing has happened. Literally, nothing. All we have acomplished at this point is giving ken money to watch him cry into a camera and make up excuses.

      I really don't care what his personal problems are. Any chance I get to let the world know how irresponsible he is and shouldn't be trusted with peoples money, I will.

      At this point Ken should be banned from Kickstarter.

    8. Benjamin (the goblin lord) Bailey on August 20, 2016

      To all backers

      I created pencil quest with the highest hopes that you and your friends and family could enjoy it.

      I have contacted Ken with both words of wisdom and hope.

      He did contact me back with a thank you nut little else.

      I urged him t actually produce this project, with honesty and integrity.

      But alas, no reply...

      Ken as a game designer, I understand your troubles,

      Backers, as a game designer, I want to deliver on a promise.

      So I'm at a crossroads.

      @Ken, if you don't complete anything else. Please make this a priority.

      @Backers, please leave Ken alone,

      However, we have the power to make things happen.

      This is not the only campaign I've committed my talents to. We cam come together and make things happen.

      @Ken, I'm in your corner, but not on the mat. I hope to work with you again. Please come through

      @Backers, I'm on the mat, but not in your corner. Let's be better than this and start a KS revolution. Any project is better with your input, but be constructive! Help out, make it happen, be a voice.

      But Don't lower your self to a level.

      @ everyone else,

      If I knew where Ken lived, I would give him a swift a kick. And then hatch a plan to get us those GD pencils!

      I have two questions.
      On April 7, 2015 you posted in an update:
      "... are in full production. We are running about 30 days behind due to manufacturing complications. 3 sides is easy, getting pencils not to turn to print the other 3 sides is hard, so they made a special machine just for us! As soon as I have Picts they will be posted!"
      On May 14, 2015 you posted in an update:
      "We are printing them NOW!!! We are about 30 days away from shipping."
      On June 19, 2015 you posted in an update:
      "We are expecting the pencil to ship in the next 15 days, thats mean they will arrive in about 45-60 days. I am sorry for the wait. These were very hard to do. They are now being produced by silkscreen, as the machines, accidentally turned them and we got a lot of double printing. As soon as I have pictures of successful prototypes. "
      On July 28, 2015 you posted in an update:
      "There were delays due to getting the product to look right. The Original PENCIL DICE are still shipping from China, We are waiting to make sure that these are quality before we go into full swing with RPG Pencil Dice as they are actual HARDER to create then simple dots on a pencil."
      On August 21, 2015 you posted in an update:
      "With over 1325 orders this is a BIG undertaking. I will have color samples of the pencils from China in my hands early in the week, as our first batch were underwhelming."
      On August 24, 2015 you posted in an update:
      "With printing done write now we can start RPG Pencil Dice!"
      On July 17, 2015 you posted in an update:
      "We have set a new release date for Summer, 2017."
      First question, what does the printing of pencil dice have to do with the printing of rpg dice? One is using silk screening and the other is carved so why would you wait to see the quality of one before the other?
      Second, which of these updates are lies because your timeline makes no sense?

      We have not received any rewards for backing your project. Therefore in accordance with KS T&Cs:
      If a creator is unable to complete their project and fulfill rewards, they’ve failed to live up to the basic obligations of this agreement. To right this, they must make every reasonable effort to find another way of bringing the project to the best possible conclusion for backers. A creator in this position has only remedied the situation and met their obligations to backers if:
      they post an update that explains what work has been done, how funds were used, and what prevents them from finishing the project as planned;
      they work diligently and in good faith to bring the project to the best possible conclusion in a timeframe that’s communicated to backers;
      they’re able to demonstrate that they’ve used funds appropriately and made every reasonable effort to complete the project as promised;
      they’ve been honest, and have made no material misrepresentations in their communication to backers; and
      they offer to return any remaining funds to backers who have not received their reward (in proportion to the amounts pledged), or else explain how those funds will be used to complete the project in some alternate form.
      The creator is solely responsible for fulfilling the promises made in their project. If they’re unable to satisfy the terms of this agreement, they may be subject to legal action by backers.

      It seems Ken Whitman (d20 entertainment) has not yet paid the manufacturer, who in turn hasn't even started production (quite understandably). The update on June 20 from Ken (expecting the pencil dice "any day") in conjunction with the update today ("still shipping") is irritating, to say the least. In a recent interview Ken also stated that he used "extra money" from the pencil dice kickstarters for other projects. Follow the link above for a quote and link to the full interview. Currently, I'm doubtful the pencil dice will ever materialize.
