No, kickstarter is not going to do anything about this, they got their cut of the money ConmanKen swindled and are done with it.

    2. Zharden on

Justice may yet be served. KODT kickstarter has brought a lawsuit against Ken

    3. Kate Frost on

Is Kickstarter going to do anything about this? Can we get our money back?

Dirt bag took our money and ran.

but if this creep did another kickstarter, they would let him do it!

    6. Pierre Savoie on

...also, of course, from the only provided sample picture, the shapes for rolls d8 and up have nothing to do with the shape of the dice they represent.

    7. Pierre Savoie on

No Kickstarters from Ken Whitman or "d20 Entertainment" have been fulfilled. One Kickstarter, for the Spinward: Traveller video, was promised to have a full completion by Gen Con 2017, but not only was there no completion, there has been no update in 11 months. Ken Whitman has also extracted "a quarter of a million dollars" from the Atlanta acting community for portfolio videos that never materialized.

For more information, consult . Presumably, news about what to do about this fraudulent situation will appear there also.

Ken should really sue the shit out of those printers that are taking more than a year to print the decks!

We shouldn't sit still for this. We should get together and back Ken up and really put some pressure on those awful printers!

      Richard Cole

      where are the PHOTOS?

    10. Zharden on

The least that could be done is turn the card designs over to the backers? At least then we can get them printed at a place of our choosing instead of having nothing.

    11. 1soni

It is the summer of 2017. Almost a year from the last update. How hard is this to do?

Ken: maybe, but not mine. My question was prompted by a mistake on *my* part, looking for a posting of mine in a place where it wasn't posted, so the answer to the question for me is actually "no." Oops.

    18. Zharden on

If anyone is going to generate those type of comments, its this guy. Seeing as how he has 6 overdue kickstarters and no delivery dates to be seen.

    19. Ken "Toren" Leyhe - IcePack Games on

Yes, KS has started scrubbing hatefilled comments.

Are comments going missing from here?

    21. Zharden on

Well put, Ken. Whitman's portrayal as a victim to HIS victims does not evoke much sympathy from me.

      A question...
On June 19, 2015 in an update you posted:
"Deck Dice head to print this Monday!!! We will send you pictures of the cards hot off the press. We expect to ship in 15 to 30 days!"
On July 28, 2015 in an update you posted:
"Pictures are coming and DECK DICE will be shipping in August!"
On August 21, 2015 in an update you posted:
"We should have picture of all the cards this coming week, shipping will being second week of September."
On July 18, 2016 in an update you posted:
"We have set a new release date for Summer, 2017."
Now on to the question, is any of this true?
If you are looking for a printer with crowdfunding experience I highly recommend The Game Crafter who even offers UV coated linen finish cards and shipping services.

    23. Ben Wilson on

I'm concerned having just received the latest update. The promised delivery date is August 2015. The revised delivery date is July 2017. The creator's personal and online troubles aside, this suggests there is no intent to produce the cards.

      don't forget about the pencils.

    25. Ken "Toren" Leyhe - IcePack Games on

Well Mr. Whitman will be making some money so he can work on is kickstarters. He's a guest at a con... uhm, convention.

Isn't a year at the printers a little long? The 1 year anniversary of the 'on the way to the printer' update is fast approaching and yet I still do not know if the layouts actually made it to a printer. Can the contact information for the printing house be provided to give us some idea of when the presses will roll? I have worked at companies that provided printing from desktop publishing to magazines running on Heidelberg presses as well as custom die work and other media production and I have never seen this long of a wait. Do you have the layout files? I can provide the contact information for a number of printers that can do the job. Or maybe you could contact tee people who ran the exploding kittens kickstarter for some ideas? Just looking for some real clarification about the project that many others in addition to myself have given you money to produce.

P.S. Have you contacted Louis J Desy Jr yet?

    27. 1soni

Worse than I thought. Maybe I'm wrong, but it appears he has several facebook pages. It also appears he is being sued by some of his supporters. Suddenly I'm thinking I won't be seeing my product or a refund. Look at the comments section of Knights of the Dinner Table. (click on d20 entertainment, click on 6 projects created, then click on Knights. )

yes this happened to most of his projects. Here is another one with much more commentary if you want to catch up:

    29. Ken "Toren" Leyhe - IcePack Games on

Just to point out he logged in again a few days ago. Make sure you report this project.

    30. Ed Lee Grimm

On iPhone app: go to the campaign page then hit the FAQ button and there is a button there to report it. Everyone needs to report this project. Period.

    31. 1soni

Looking for an update please (or a refund)

    32. Ken "Toren" Leyhe - IcePack Games on

      3 months and no update...
Yet he logged in to KS last week.

    33. Zharden on

Yeah, one comment on Nov 1st.... exactly how long does it take to get "moved in"? Guy is just buying time. Looks like he is even going by a new first name from what people have been reporting on the internet.

    34. Rodney Burris

Last update Nov 1, tell us something, year's end is nearing.

    35. David Kolakowski on

How does one report a Kickstarter in the iPhone app?

    36. Zharden on

So what happened to Update #6 (dated back in June) that said the cards were going to press and expect shipping in 15 to 30 days? Obviously not the truth...

    37. Zharden on

I would wager that the money is already spent too. Three months late when he already has the cards designed. No other reason this couldn't have went to print.

    38. Ken "Toren" Leyhe - IcePack Games on

It looks all he has done on any of his projects for quite a while is just copy and paste a canned response to each.

    39. Cliff Hanson on

This is a total hoax. You don't deserve a damn dime.

    40. Jeffrey Mosbaugh on

Yeah nope... Everything online about this cretin says he keeps running kickstarters to fund the (allegedly) terrible tv shows he is self producing in hopes of being rich and famous... I hope none of you guys are out large amounts of money on this scam.

    41. V.E. Duncan

I second Tim Crothers; can we get SOME kind of update on this? Sheesh.

    42. Zharden on

Yes, I already reported this kickstarter about five days ago. Might have even got him to post that one message which amounts to nothing more than he had activity on this kickstarter.

    43. Tim Crothers

Not hard to take a few minutes to post a status update. This is smelling fishier and fishier by the day. Printers of cards are readily available so this is definitely starting to feel like a scam.

    44. d20 Entertainment 6-time creator on

Hey everyone, sorry for not posting sooner. Due to personal problems, I moved to Atlanta. As soon as I get settled I will make more updates. Take care.

    45. Jesse Grant

Some news would be nice. If I don't hear anything by the start of November I'll be complaining to Kickstarter. It's a shame. I really wanted the pencils and deck. They'd be super cool.

    46. Jeffrey Mosbaugh on

So apparently the creator is being sued in Kentucky for failing to deliver on the pencil dice... Oh well, glad I only pledged $20 and taking it a lesson learned to investigate my backed projects before they close...

    47. Jeffrey Mosbaugh on

@Ken - starting to feel the same way... I just ordered a set of custom decks from Cowcow and had them within a couple of weeks - it's not like there's thousands upon thousands of these decks to be printed and shipped... if no word by 11/1 I'm contacting my bank and seeing what can be done to get out of this nonsense...

    48. Ken "Toren" Leyhe - IcePack Games on

So, you said a week and it's been five with no update. I backed three projects from you with no word on where our rewards are. Starting to feel like someone took the money and ran.
